He isn't one. He tried to prove a point today by taking 6 singles but it's just not his game. He should go in as a lower order hitter. We already have a finisher in Dhoni (who at times finishes games for his own team )

You understand the context or not? It was in comparison to other "stars" playing. Just for your info that game there were chants of "Morris Morris" when he was hitting big later on in that match. Obviously as you said, people comprehend what they want to as well.

It is just a reflection of how Pant has been performing in the last few games.

At this point, there is point in trying to change his game In Ind, we don't tend to match a position with cricketers strength instead try to force the cricketer to make changes. If everyone thought about getting out, not many would go for sixes. Every time you hit a shot there is an element of risk. Even just blocking a ball can get an edge Going for hits, getting out, etc., is all part of the game. You don't like Pant for some reason.( maybe I know.) And so you will see it that way. While I seem to rate him highly so I will see it my way. If we are looking to pick a player to play in the end overs definitely KKD is better than pant. Pant has this tuk tuk mode that silently hurts the team. He won't be suited for lower order too but could have been good jugaad for this World Cup atleast where only Pandya seems to be a hitter.
