Tendulkar1996 Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I have a sinking feeling that rohit will fail in atleast one match,and then rahul will sink us either by also getting out or eating balls and then getting out.Then kohli will be left alone.I'm praying rahul comes through,but his batting has been very unconvincing and never looks comfortable.So i fear the worst for him,looks like dhawan's injury was the deathblow for our ambitions. You heard it here first.

It is just a matter of couple more matches now and maybe one more. Let's just hope the team repeats the performance from our first 2 matches and not worry too much. I think a semis spot for our team is a fair result and anything on top is a bonus.

I think for a substitute opener he has done an okay job. Look at Guptill,Munroe, Nichole, Vince, Fakhar, Imam(68 strike rate), Tamil (72 strike rate). England and OZ have solid openers. Since our middle and tail are weak, bit of caution is exercised by Indian batsmen more than others. But while chasing they may have to revisit their approach. Ca't allow 3 maidens in a row to any bowler no matter how good he is. cowboysfan 1

Averaging 41 in his first WC is not bad by any stretch of imagination, having played just 14 ODIs before that and fear of being dropped all the time on his head.

KLR has done alright in this WC, although he can do better.
