If you hear hindi commentary then even they accept he is not same like before. These issues will be exploited in ashes though but this was good grinding knock by him.

How wud he ?? Batting n bowling is all about rhythem ...1 yr of break will affect it but he is still scoring runs and finished is a far fetched word. He might fail in ashes but then its a part of career.....doesnt mean his career is finished. Weakness creap in time to time for any player .....had he not been banned still some weakness wud have come ........but a quality player always knws how to come back.

this semi final  projecting the  weaknesses of Smith emphatically. He is a grinder with a technique to survive in not much amount of pressure. That's all. ENG showing exactly that point. Against a well oiled team like this Smith's inns would loose the match  most of the times.  He is basically a limited ODI player.

But it's on placid wkt... not to undermine his century but if take a look on last odi series or this test series he only performed on absolute patta. First 2 odis were absolute flat wkts and he butchered us , 3rd odi was on bit tricky pitch and he got out early same in test series so far.

Doesn't matter. He scored it against 3 great bowlers, not against Pakistani bowlers.

I raised a different point... pitch also matters. BTW if you see 2 bowlers were absolute newbies and ashwin and jadega are not bowling in India. So all in all Bumrah was the main threat and he played him well.
