What good is extreme fitness if he is the one who drops maximum catches ? The key point is sustaining batting form in 4 years time. These guys are not played for their fielding alone. Get a psychologist for mentally suspect players like rahul,kuldeep and pant. Make sure that even though shankar basu is leaving,his methods are continued. G_B_ Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Give Rohit LOI, Kohli Test No Rohit in test cricket. Two birds one stone. I looked at the ICC test championship mace. India are mostly playing at home v England BD and SA (10 tests) and away to Aus WI and Nz (8 tests). So a decent performance away to Aus in tests even if we lose will set us up for the finale.

The only player above 35 in the current squad is Dhoni, who, many think, should have retired at least two years ago! Yuvraj, a champion ODI player, retired now at 37. We know how is last few years were. Raina, who is 32, is already looking out of sorts. This is not about Kohli or Rohit but realistically evaluating who is going to be close to his peak in 2023.
