Gollum Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 (edited) Right to clothing issue..... Happened a week back in Ranchi, a section of libtards and Muslims are outraged, want to take the college administrator to court. टॉपर और गोल्ड मेडलिस्ट बुर्का पहकर लेने आई डिग्री, कॉलेज ने देने से किया मना Jharkhand: College topper denied degree over wearing burqa at graduation ceremony Quote Nishat Fatima, who came to Ranchi's Marwari College to take her degree in graduation ceremony could not get it in the ceremony As per reports, the over-all best graduate Nishat Fatima, who came to Ranchi’s Marwari College to take her degree in graduation ceremony could not get it in the ceremony on Sunday. Nishat Fatima came wearing a burqa to attend the program. Her name was called for the gold medal at the ceremony as she had to take the medal first. However, at the same time, it was announced that she was not in the dress code fixed by the college, due to which she could not be given a degree in the ceremony. After which the process of awarding medals and degrees to other toppers was started. Despite the dress code being fixed, Nishat’s father Muhammad Ikramul Haq said that the burqa is included in their tradition. The dress code was decided by the college in which the male student had to come in a white colored kurta pajama and the female students in a salwar-suit, scarf or sari blouse. For this, the college had already issued a notice. She topped an exam/course or something like that from the various sources. Denied the degree/medal on stage because of her attire. Is this acceptable or not? I am siding with the college on this one. Can't just walk in like a ninja when there is a specified dress code, at least not in the civilized world. If all other students can follow the rules why should this girl be given leeway? When someone is on stage to receive a medal or degree should the face be hidden? Petty sure salwar suit (college's dress code option) with hijab/scarf wouldn't have created any controversy. I mean look at her, this is hideous. How can any society enforce this sort of dressing code on women? Your thoughts? This is a favorite topic for liberals, where do they stand? If they wanna discuss ghunghat (standard libtard equivalency tactic) feel free to open a new thread. Edited September 26, 2019 by Gollum vayuu1, beetle, maniac and 1 other 4
Gollum Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 (edited) Dunno if that is burqa or niqab, must be one of those 2 Hijab and Dupatta, no problem...they can sometimes even look elegant. Even chador doesn't hide the face albeit odd. Niqab/Burqa aren't even part of Indian Islamic culture historically, became common in the last 30-40 years once many Muslims started getting jobs in the ME. Something like this Ranchi college controversy....how can this costume be an integral part of Islam? From where does religious freedom enter the picture? This isn't about the choice of Muslim ladies in general. But instances like in OP. The Muslim community has created ruckus over the face veil in entrance exam anti-cheating measures (annual affair), interviews, working place etiquette, security checks, photos for various forms, etc. How should the courts read these kind of cases? India isn't alone in this regard, part of society in West as well. Edited September 26, 2019 by Gollum beetle, I6MTW, Stradlater and 1 other 1 3
Gollum Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 (edited) Burqa was never part of Muslim attire in this part of the world. Societies progress with time, women get more empowered, look at the trend of the Malabari Muslim women, how much more advanced (yet modestly dressed as their religion demands) they were in early 20th century, even 3-4 decades back. What is happening right now is unnatural, dressing choice generally goes from conservative to liberal. Women's dressing should be their personal choice, but is that what is happening in OP case (educated woman)? Or pressure from the patriarchal and misogynistic community around her? Islamic scriptures talk only about covering hair, no? In the desert a niqab makes sense because sandstorms, sunburn....why copy them without application of mind? Edited September 26, 2019 by Gollum
MechEng Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Hijab is fine like how Turkish women wear, burqa no because it's very easy to conceal identity. What if someone stole her degree like that? beetle and Gollum 2

maniac Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 More than the graduation ceremony, I doubt what kind of fraud goes on under the burqa during the actual examinations. Stradlater, beetle, Gollum and 2 others 5

Annual affair. Right before any entrance exam esp medical you'll have Muslim organizations creating trouble to bypass anti-cheating measures. When non-Muslim students counter protest we have op-eds in foreign publications calling them intolerant, Islamophobic and what not. Google it yourself, this randi rona irritates me no end, in a country where impersonation/exam fraud is a real menace, how are the conducting authorities wrong if they want to be extra careful? Male students often have their pockets cut out, girls are asked to change hairstyle minutes before entry and remove metallic ornaments, students are forced to take off shoes/socks, buttons are removed.....inconvenience is commonplace for all students and I don't think they should mind one bit, look at the volume of participation and examiner:students ratio. Waise bhi dress code and do's/don'ts are communicated well in advance. Bhai there have been murders and campus violence over this issue (Campus Front of India)....and then we wake up to news stories like this Government might remove ban on hijab, burqa in exams Indian secularism ain't secularism at all, total fraud. We are a confused nation. Edited September 27, 2019 by Gollum maniac and beetle 1 1

nikred Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Secularism is forcefully imposed on Hindus.I am starting to feel we should have officially been a hindu nation. It would have ironically been far more secular than this "secular' nation. Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk sergio04 1
beetle Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 (edited) Totally with the college here. I don't support regressive reasoning in the name of freedom. She is a security risk. She is a horrible role model for young girls. She promotes regressive repressive practices. How can one be sure she is the right person taking the degree? I have never seen any burkha clad woman wearing black gloves. This is getting worse. These stupid women are making the life of the future Indian muslim girls more difficult. I feel this is a kind of stockholm syndrome. Why would someone want to stay in a prison ? Don't say freedom of choice. The choice ends where brainwashing starts. Stupid brainwashed person . Nikhil_cric Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I only have a problem with women wearing the full burqa if they are attending examinations. It's easy to cheat that way. You can't deny a person a degree/gold medal after all the work they have put in to achieve that.
