If SS did anything with Hindi speaking population it will mean death sentence for congress in Hindi speaking states. Hindi speaking population is already 30-35% . Raj Thackeray burnt his career over that . He became untouchable because what he did in 2006-7 . Neither BJP nor Congress allied with him . So-called cow belt region gets enough hate for electing parties like sp bsp aap...also, people in Delhi do not even think about mumbai that much whereas mumbaikars, specially more of the immature ones, seemingly obsessed abt Delhi love to curse it....so have some stomach to hear a few gaalis.

Hindi hate can never stay in Maha as it is in TN... On a lighter note, all 'outsider' ambani will need to do is to cut off the jio connection of the protesting Marathi manhooses and/or take Mumbai Indians to Lucknow or some place, rename it Lucknow indians.

It doesn't work like that you know. There is an independent Financial Commission (among others) which decides on which state gets what amount of $. A big factor in this calculation is the Income tax generated in the state as a function of the income distance. This is in accordance with the Gadgil formula. A key person in the decision making panel can go on a foreign tour with out a delegate and delay the decision. Hehe.

I don't care if they lose a few states here and there, people vote over different issues there. I won't be surprised if AAP retains Delhi next year. Never take the votes of people for granted when their aspirations aren't being met. National election a different ball game, BJP has done better in terms of national security, defence, foreign affairs, made bold decisions...Indian people aren't stupid. BJP is in power in enough states, let them prove their administrative capabilities there. Let them take steps to revive our economy, solve unemployment, address rural distress, at least some progress in that direction. Gollum Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) People of Tripura gave them a resounding mandate, when court ruled against bali at Tripurasundari (centuries old practice) not a whiff of protest from the veg eating Taliban. BJP/RSS betrayed the Tamils when it came to jallikattu, betrayed Mallus in Sabarimala, Natl Prez insulted King Mahabali, forced Ram-Sita down the throats of Kali/Durga worshiping Bengalis, Hindi politics, caste politics....even culturally BJP can't be inclusive towards Hindus in many states. People will still be gracious enough to forgive them to keep Congressis out of Centre but states mein different story. BJP's recent track record in state elections has been poor, even lost Raj, Chh, MP, struggled in many places where it should have been a canter. Up next Jharkhand, then Delhi and Bihar next year. In LS, people actually went out to vote for Modi. But in state elections, they will sit at home and then lament the election results. The default votebanks of SS/NCP/Congress can only be defeated by committed voting by BJPians. We all have a duty to make our own group of people actually vote on election day....

Also the SS already has a guaranteed vote bank. There have been no major defections as such. If the SS goes for an image makeover, then they stand to lose followers. They would just end up being a second rate Congress. Nepotistic with no internal democracy and corrupt. And they know this. That's why I believe we shall see a longer stride towards the right by the SS. To cannibalise into the BJP vote base.
