Well done to both of them. No wonder we have dominated this decade...choked in ICC events but talking about W/L esp in test cricket.

Cricket is a Indian sport these days.

How do you explain CT and WC loss? Mediocrity is Indian sport now.

This decade we have CT 2013 , 2011 wc

Pak has only 2017 CT

Eng 2010t20 wc and 2019wc

Wi has 2 t20 wc

SL has one t20 wc

Aus has one wc....doubt that they have won anything else

Nz SA doesnt have any

So not bad actually

Kohli should have taken India over the line in semi finals. That will be a major blot in his career.I don't know how he can overcome that miss.

Yem ess dee great finisher should have taken us over. Target was within reach when he and Jaddu were batting.  If it were Raina or Yuvi game would have been ours.

At some stage, such numbers will mean nothing esp for Kohli  as we have won no ICC trophies since the 2013 CT win (lost in 5 ICC tournaments - 2014 and 2016 T20 WCs, 2015 and 2019 WCs and 2017 CT). This in an era when our A teams have dominated nearly all bilateral/ triangular/quadrangular series in India/SA/Aus/Eng/WI/NZ and our u-19 teams have been most dominant in u-19 WCs, add to that the strength of IPL

Like Raina did in 2015 WC semi?

No like he did 2011 semi. India was not even in winning position. That was a big target. This is a smaller target right up in Dhoni's ally.

Were we chasing in 2011 semi and was it played outside subcontinent? Exactly.

Definitely the conditions towards the end of the semi final was much easier to bat on. Jadeja had to do all the scoring while Tony was plodding along while pushing the asking rate.

That's not my point. Dhoni of course had no business playing that match. But your confidence that Raina would have pulled it off is amusing, given that he was nothing more than a hack who bottled it more often than not. Someone like Raina in that match would likely have shat himself than guided Indian home.

In that position against guys like Santner he would not have struggled that much.

in last few years raina has struggled against spinner also , he has struggled to score in domestic n IPL also

he has struggled against hardik in IPl , they had neesham with similar pace

and lets not forget they had lockie who was quick

Also Raina wud have been at crease in 1st 10 overs neither do i remeber him playing moving ball to

jadhav was definately an upgrade on raina one his decline

Not even yuvi at his decline cud have had

So you blame Dhoni more for the loss than Kohli. Dhoni was done long time back.
