Bec of these kind of activities Cricket is not growing in another counties also declining day by day. I see most of young people not bothering about cricket or discussion like we used to do in  pre 2000 era

Don't agree with your observation at all.

Having followed Indian cricket since early 1970's , I am damn sure the Indian youth of today are more involved in cricket than ever before. In 1960's we used to play hockey as major sport. Now I don't see people playing hockey like we did. On the contrary youths can be seen playing cricket everywhere. Hockey has become a rarelynplayed sport now. How the things and likings of sport has changed.

The blame lies with Assam cricket association & its groundsmen for doing **** when the rain was stopped. BCCI allots funds to all the associations throughout the country & it should take strict action to ensure these events doesn't repeat in the future.
It wasn't raining heavily & what are the damn covers for if the water makes its way to the pitch?

India not getting enough money is a different problem statement. If you guys want to link it up with the yesterday's incident , you can do it but then it will only cover up the actual problem in this case which is inept people in charge of the ground who has zero accountability and plan in place to tackle such scenarios. More money may result in facilities but does not necessarily translate into efficient ground stuff management and accountability.

Maybe the ACA procured low quality protective covers which were useless. The usage of funds by ACA needs to be reviewed. Poor administration at ACA needs to be tackled before more games are allocated to them again.

From Assam Cricket Association website

Besides the cricketing arena with covered seating all around, the stadium also have necessary infrastructure such as indoor practice wicket, gym etc.Two of the four grandstands, including the players pavilion and the state-of-the-art media centre, the ground's 24-hour water sprinkling facility is also ready. Klorophyll (India) Sports Turf Technology & Construction Private Limited has constructed the main field covering approximately 16800 sq. m., which is first of its kind in the entire country, as it is 100% sand based USGA perched water table profile installed with a detailed subsoil drainage network on grid pattern. The region is subject to very heavy precipitation, so the subsoil drainage system is designed to withstand cloudburst, such that play can start within minutes of a rain stoppage

Read that claim. The company which constructed the main field was incorporated in 2009. Looks like a proper proxy company of some powerful politician.

Smells like a proper scam.
