Is Ajaz Patel allrounder? Why did they pick a spinner just for the heck of it, Williamson would have been enough and they could have played Henry.

Maybe for 3rd/4th innings? spinner is must when pitch gets flat.

NZ batsmen are experienced, feisty and mentally tougher than our boys.  They will rack up 500 runs unless pitch helps us a lot.

Then why they're shyting in Aus, (that was some minnows  level performance).every dog is lion in his own den.

No they wont. This is SENA conditions, in India, these same batsmen would be opened up by our bowlers. If India can keep NZ down to under 225 they are a chance. But NZ should score around 300.

India need early wickets, Williamson and Ross are the keys to this NZ batting lineup.

Definitely not a 165 all out conditions. With more effort, could have easily got 100 runs more .... ideally 300+ despite losing some wkts

Remember this Kiwi batting unit carries scars from Australia, fresh ones a couple of months old. Won't be easy for them as well.

Indian wickets:

Prithvi - Decent ball

Pujara - Great ball

Kohli - Threw away

Agarwal - Threw away

Vihari - Decent ball

Pant - Threw away

Ashwin - Decent ball

Rahane - Threw away

Ishant - Decent ball

Shami - Threw away

5 out of 10 wickets were gifts and threw aways.

Cant expect to win test match like this.

Correct weight.

Had India not thrown those wickets away, 300 in the 1st innings was on the cards.

India's pathetic innings had little to do with the conditions and pace of NZ.

Kohli, Agarwal and Pant could have easily taken the total to 300.

Bro, Ind has the tendency to heal scars .... and make hero out of unknowns :((

But don’t want to get in the way of your enthusiasm

Indian fast bowlers are usually better at home than overseas because in india they know they have to be disciplined but once they see green pitches they lose their mind. Hope they keep

it together.

Only time (from memory) when we have beaten a team that was down in spirits was Eng (smashed by WI if I am not wrong) in 1986 .... but we made it up to Eng in 1990 (esp to Gooch who got 333 in one of the tests)

Pant run out could turn out to be the turning point (as he could have got 70+)

And what calculations did you use to come up with 70+ ? :p: . That seems too specific
