G_B_ Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Does not bring back Pakistani students from Wuhan. Lets thousands of shia pilgrims goto Iran and get infected with coronavirus, thereby bringing it back to Pakistan. raki05 1

Autonomous Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 At time when we need to suspend international flight operations, this begairat is ranting bullshit. Pathetic excuse of an individual.

Manny_Pacquiao Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Here are my thoughts on Imran khan. 1. the man is not a 'real' pakistani. he has never experienced the life of an average pakistani. while this is true of the 'elite' in any country, at the very least, there is some connection that is created through outreach and education. the elites are capable of walking in the common man's shoes. i am not sure imran khan ever created that connection. he was detached to begin with, and as he spent many of his formative years in england - in social circles far removed from pakistan - his detachment only grew. it wouldn't be wrong to suggest that he views pakistan from the perspective of a englishman of pakistani descent, rather than an actual pakistani. which brings us to the next point: 2. imran khan is hopelessly idealistic. in the world of competitive sport, idealism is desirable, at times even necessary. politics, on the other hand, requires a different mindset. while most adults lose their sense of 'idealism' fairly early - realizing that life is never 'fair', nor will it ever be a level playing field - imran khan looked at pakistan as his pet project. as a man who saw the 'best' of what life had to offer, he felt he could replicate democracy in pakistan. he felt he could create a sense of pride and identity, similar to what he noticed (and envied) in his english compatriots. he is working off a template that not only fails to capture the realities of pakistan, but he is completely unprepared for the rigors and pitfalls created by inefficient bureaucracy. good administrators are more than just a face, they are pragmatists. which means he's fit for only one purpose.... 3. appealing to people's conscience. the best thing imran khan ever did outside a cricket field, was fund-raise for a cancer hospital. like all benevolent elites, he promised free treatment. he set about righting the wrongs of society by acting as a guardian angel, using his wealth and image for good. while his intentions are unquestionably pure - because he's an idealist - he fails to recognize that a country cannot function as a charity case. pakistan cannot be one big shaukat khanum cancer hospital. imran khan, having mingled with the elites of british society, feels like he can speak their language. he has little to offer in return, but he knows how to appeal to christian goodwill. this is the path he has chosen, and this is his default position. naturally, a combination of these 3 factors make him very attractive to the pakistanis living 'overseas'. he can sell them a dream without needing to be overly persuasive. at "home", he has to contend with reality, as the memories of his cricketing exploits reach their expiration date.

He is self isolated and in a world of his own where he thinks he is perfect and there is nothing wrong for him, suffering delusions.
