Trump immediately dismissed the task force saying "we can form one when we get one". It is consistent with how Obama operated at the white house. Right wing dumbos in US can go to hell. 

You have just one sentence in the end, right wing and left wing. This virus didn't differentiate between right and left and this discussion is beyond ideologies. Common people like us don't have anything to do with politicians or politics. They aren't our chachas but we all have been affected because of this pandemic and it's quite evident now how they destroyed lives of people in the name of science, precautions, research whether intentionally or unintentionally. You play with fire, you will burn yourself more often than not. Natural pandemics didn't do anything like this decades but this made up pandemic did it.

He didn't say it will come. He said how they have to be prepared.  That is called vision.

I am talking about the right wing dumbo's narrative here. Not the  common right wing supporter in general.  Virologists have been working on virus for decades.

Sad thing is he did not really write what they say he wrote.  His actual paper is linked on ICF, if anyone is interested in really going off twitterverse and reading exactly what he wrote.

Today, I heard that, in Guangzhou (population 15 million), there was a neighborhood with a few cases.  They completely clamped down, testing everyone door to door.  My guess is that - if anyone steps out of their door - they'll disappear without a trace.

Fauci told lawmakers that the National Institutes of Health committed $600,000 to the Chinese lab through the non-profit EcoHealth Alliance, to study whether bat coronaviruses could be transmitted to humans.

NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins also told the hearing that US-funded scientists at the lab 'were not approved by NIH for doing gain of function research'.

 

'We are, of course, not aware of other sources of funds or other activities they might have undertaken outside of what our approved grant allowed,' he added.

The NIH ceased its funding to the EcoHealth Alliance in April 2020. 

 

But Sørensen said that he believes the virus escaped from lower security areas of the institute, where he believes Gain of Function research was performed.

'We have seen lab leaks and we know it's happening. We also know from the reports we've seen, that coronavirus is worked on in Biosafety Level 2 or 3 labs. If they do Gain of Function in such labs, what do you expect?' he said.
