The reason Shami gets more bounce is he is stronger than Kamlesh who is still a kid and will get stronger body wise. You need strong shoulders.

Shami's bounce has something to do with his action and wrist usage too.

Umesh is strong too but does not get much bounce due to his round arm action.

Prasidh gave 1-2 good performances last year but also had bad days which resulted him getting dropped altogether,he will have bad days as is the case with t20s

Similarly Nagarkoti bowled well the other day, had  really a bad one today, hope he doesn't gets dropped,he will learn with each game with international stars around him

This is huge learning curve for kids like Nagarkoti,Mavi,Tyagi and Prasidh

Yes. Nagarkoti should be supported and guided ... and not dropped.

Getting hit is not a big deal in T20s.

And the perfect upright seam position also helps to get more bounce.

Its more to do with up right seam. Umesh's is tilted for outswing. Shami doesn't get swing due to his upright seam, more of seam and ball hits with upright seam, he gets more bounce due to that. Before Shami, it was Sreesanth who used to have upright seam. All others bowl with tilted seam to get swing.

I am also certain in next 3-4 years if he stays fit, he may become India's fastest bowler he has that action to bowl really quick though  needs to fill up a bit.

Just imagine the KKR trio playing under him. Every match would lead to chopping and changing.

Dk and Kkr leadership are perfect for these boys

Very happy with the way Karthick is giving chances to 2 young Indian quicks every match.

We need such captains in the IPL ... who will develop young Indian talent.

And I hope KKR keeps winning for this reason only ... it is easy for a winning team to keep giving chances to youngsters.

Upright seam plays a big part in the bounce Shami gets,  as @Mosher bro pointed out in an earlier post.

And his run up was also tweaked a bit in 2016. His running steps were made a tad shorter, including the final landing. This helped him stay more erect at the point of delivery and get more bounce.

Yes he can be India's fastest bowler but must must work on getting more bounce too. Otherwise he will be another Umesh or Sami of Pakistan.

But he has age on his side and can improve a lot.

Shami's run-up was the biggest thing limiting him. He became more consistent pace wise too after that.  Though both are knee dominants but Shami gets off his back foot quicker like Brett Lee while Nagarkoti is like Akhtar.

Brett Lee has been probably the most natural fast bowler in last 20 years.  While Shoaib Akhtar did a lot of work to bowl as fast as he could. Shoaib actually trained himself to bowl 160 kph with overload training.

@Forward Defence ,  @MultiB48, @vishalvirsingh @prudent_kreeda

Did you guys watch the last 2 overs by Prasidh today ?  Did not see you post during the match.

3 wickets for just 10 runs at the death while bowling quick yorkers and short balls at 140 k to 148 k.

Very special performance. !

I have been very busy these last few days. Was checking the speed updates here. Really heartening to see Prasidh's figures. Checked out his three wickets on hotstar just now. The ball that got Prabhsimran had sharp bounce. Impressed.
