The same thing happened the entire NZ series. The batsmen get starts and then throw it away instead of scoring a century.  

 

Batting coach issues maybe?

Yes, mistakes are made, but they are up against a class bowling unit that is not easy to face.  

 

And if you are going to crib about the mistakes, the other side of the coin is that they have shown laudable courage, skill and temperament in fighting it out as well.  

 

If it were that easy every decent batsman would be filling their boots - as it is, if India held 50% of their drops, they might have won the series already.  And all they have conceded is 2 centuries.

These batsmen needs a kick in the ass. They need more patience and concentration which seems to be lacking. When a rookie like Washington is more disciplined, why cant we expect from these experienced batsmen.
