If your input >>> than rate of return. You are at aloss. To make up you mortgage your land. Next you know you lose it. Not very complicated.

Interesting. 1+1 = 3 is simple not complicated. Complicated part is to explain how.

define the following.

Input ( I am guessing you mean cost )

Return ( I am guessing you mean profit net of sales )

Step 1 : What does cost include ? What kind of cost we are talking of here ?

FYI. I am no expert in farming.

Yes, so does cost of seed, fertilizer and labour vary across the country. Cost of labour might vary a little bit. But then again you can sell your produce in another state for higher margin. Our resident farming experts could explain.

Also Mandi remains operational. Also MSP is continuing. So, what are these village idiots talking about.

For someone who is not an expert you sure do have a lot of opinion.

What losses? Farmer's are sellers. They are buyers. Farmers have the option whether to sell to them or not. No one is forcing farmers to do that. They can sell in mandis too or anywhere in the country.

When you talk about selling in open markets to a farmer it means they are selling at loss.

That is the gist of the problem. Where does the law says that it is continuiing?

Its was not, but now it requires legal backing because the new one threatens to dilute msp.

Lets limit msp payout to an upper ceiling so that only poor and lesser landed farmers benefit?

How so. Which clause threatens msp ?

They're not going to openly include any such clause in a law. Fenku may be dumb but not his master's.

There are many reason but the main fear is  that enabling outside-APMC trade of farm products may result in less purchases by government entities in the designated mandis thus making msp system irrelevant.

Farmers are not fools, they have noted the shady scheme. Hence the protest

So, you can't find one clause which will hamper the MSP but you are in fear. There is a word for that. Its called psychosis. MSP was not in law before farm bills were introduced and it won't be in law now. Ofcourse, those suffering from psychosis need psychiatric help. Farms bill will not help.

This is not my worry, I am not a farmer. it is the dread of poor farmers, and all they want is a legal assurance of msp.

But ofcourse as usual Modi sychophants will stay in denials.

Farmers are already poor with current MSP regime. They pay to state taxes and commission to Arthiyas or Middlemen or Dallas. If they get a competition in private buyers, their hafta will get cut. The fear is not for farmers, they are being screwed anyway, the fear is in Middlemen and rich farmers with large land growing sub-standard crops through Bihari Labourers and getting paid by Govt procurement.

These are the screwed-up farmers. They are not all middlmen as you are claiming. Farming is a tough job, no farmer intends to produce a subpar crop, crop quality is determined by a variety of factors

Monsoon Uncertainties and Inadequate Irrigation, decline in soil fertility, inadequate support service etc.

It requires assurance, that is why we have msp and all they are demanding is MSP guarantee.
