putrevus Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Something is very wrong with SA board. Both England and Australia have skipped their tours. SrinjayDutta 1

cowboysfan Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 so a 2-1 is good enough? i am hoping for 2-0 or better but 2-1 seems very easily achievable.
Gollum Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Lucky Kiwis, so so lucky and now they will chicken out of BD tour, we all know their record in Toygerland the last decade or so. TheWall 1
Majestic Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I am thinking how will Rohit cope with Boult in England conditions with Duke bowl, lol it will be carnage. Left arm pace bowler getting the bowl to move into him.

Also in hindsight that slow over rate penalty in MCG game has cost them the final I think lol. That Langer fraca with Boon who he pissed off during Chahal Jaddu concussion sub episode has come back to bite them Edited February 2, 2021 by neel roy nevada, Lone Wolf and express bowling 3

Can't they just vaccinate the players and coaching staff? how bad is the covid situation is SA anyway? Is it worse than India? Vaccine does not protect well against the sa strain. Bigger things to worry abt for RSA

Generally icc wants to use the ball that is used in the conditions before so it might be duke for all we know.

They'll probably use it according to the hosting nation in future

They are biggest HTBs. But actually their best chance is in England because the conditions are similar to NZ and they drew in England last time too.

They drew a series in England in 2015 and didn't tour there since then. what is the lol about? and they lost 1-0 in SA

Must be a 2 tests series in England. Lot easier to get a result in a 2 test series tbf. Anyways I doubt they can beat Bangladesh away actually. I don't recall them winning there.

But really most teams aren't hosting Nz regularly even though they have become a top test team now. Its unfortunate that their best ever team also plays least cricket and hence can't create any legacy. We are lucky our best team with best attack is getting regular tours everywhere and has opportunity to stamp their authority. That 2 test series in england in this june should give some good idea about where they stand in away series.. with Jamieson their bowling attack looks quite good for other ENA countries and also adds depth to their batting

England were very lucky tbh to get away with 1-1. A longer series perhaps would've been a different story as Kiwis came back in 2nd game & won. This time also that 2 match series would be very close before WTC final. Hopefully NZ burn out their pacers there.
nevada Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Weeks of frustration boiled over in a tersely-worded statement overnight. ;“We are extremely disappointed by the decision of CA,” Graeme Smith, CSA’s director of cricket, said. “CSA has been working tirelessly in recent weeks to ensure that we meet every single expectation of CA. This was set to be our longest tour in a bio-secure environment [BSE] comprising a three-match Test series that was scheduled to begin with Australia’s arrival later in the month. So to be informed about the CA decision at the eleventh hour is frustrating.” DrShuaib Manjra, CSA’s chief medical officer, said CSA had proposed “unprecedented” protocols. Firstly, we had agreed that our own Proteas team would enter the BSE 14 days prior to the arrival of the Australian team, thus altering their planning during the current tour of Pakistan,” he said.

Replacements aren't pariticularly good. But their batting is quite good actually.
putrevus Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 If this was series in India , would CA allow team to travel to India.
