We can on Day 3 pitch. Potential is there but we threw away wickets. Dont think it was possible on Day 5 Wicket.

Akshar is accurate and someone like him needs to be in the team for this sweeping giants to trap them. Sundar although good batsman can be picked as pure batter if TM wants to but we are far from being that much bold. Kuldeep is obvious selection, cant do worse than Nadeem. Siraj can be tried if track is going to be similar to 1st test, No need to play Bumrah on this Road.

This wasn't your typical flat track, this was more like the traditional 90's early-mid 2k track which deteriorated quickly post day 3. It also had little grass cover, our home dominance wasn't just due to Kohli or Jadeja we've been almost equally dominant post 2004 loss to Oz on the back of our batting. The 2012 series was lost because the pitches were competitive & we had our most fragile lineup in over a decade.

 

So the point is if this track had a little more grass we'd have been in a much better position with the ball come day 1, also with the bat on day 3 & 5. Now who's bright idea was it to shave every bit of grass, let me guess - the genius captain
