The mindset of followers of monotheism are same everywhere. For them national boundaries are meaningless. Those faiths are designed for conquest and subjugation. If they abandon those core tenets, they will simply collapse.

The liberals might go on a banning spree, but the they will eventually see the truth. Matter of time.

And if a monotheist has been good to non believer, it is simply because of his higher morality that transcends holy books.

I don't think he's stupid enough to "not see" it.  He feels entitled to his prejudice and "justified" in making "edgy" statements.  Lot of self-described RW folks think they are  saying "hard hitting" truths, when in reality they are indulging their baser instincts in **** flinging.  Nobody needs their "edgy" insight to identify the issues that face Hindus, or the known issues with selective outrage and biases present in the muslim community - in any country.  They are simply using those things as an excuse to vomit bigotry.  You aren't the brave 'warrior' belling the cat, you are just a mirror image of the biased folks in the opposite 'camp'.

That's just it.

Bigotry is bigotry. Just because the other side has it's share of nut jobs, it doesn't mean you have to be a gutter human as well.

That @PunterLog fella keeps harping about the state of Hindus in Islamic majority countries - Well, I lived 10 years in the Middle East and never once, did I experience any sort of problems.

Can site so many other examples. Indonesia is Muslim majority but their national carrier is Garuda. And there are references to Ramayana/Mahabharata everywhere.

Bali, part of Indonesia, is Hindu majority. They have their own slant on Hinduism, Balinese Hinduism.

Some of them do. Humbleness is not their virtue most of the times. There are exceptions.

This is nonsense.  Good and bad people exist across different faiths, ethnicities and geographies.

The idea that "monotheism" is by definition a marker of 'bad' morality, is silly.  Making gross generalizations about "them", across different flavors of monotheism, is unsupportable.

For the morons out there, let me explicitly clarify that this doesn't mean that I'm anointing "monotheism" with good qualities, nor am I 'defending' them.  Its about the false assertions being made in the quoted post above.

Equating Hindu Dharmic bigotry to Islamic bigotry is a pitfall. All the former does is harp on the double standard with some crass language which will be labeled as ethno-centrism or xenophobic, modern word - Islamophobia!  The best way to shut up any debate.

Nothing in west is worse than being labeled a Nazi or White- Supremacist! Islamic-Supremacists are kosher.

Hence , any pointing to these double standards can be called that you are equivalent to the other side.  The worst case scenario for Islamic bigotry leads to terrorism, beheading and being destined to rot in hell.

In the worst case scenario, It is evident , what the Islamist RW side does, kill all opposition to their ideology - moderates. seculars, LeLis first and then the so-called bigots like RWers of the other kind labeled by the same LeLis.

In school debates, we always think of worst case scenarios. We never label the other side as bigots. Those rules don’t apply in real-life.

Stop the name-calling and labeling on both sides, can we? Very easy thing to make a point.

Don't disagree with almost all of what you are saying.

But bundling hate-speech along with justified 'criticism' is not OK.  And ought to be called out on this forum.   We have seen that allowing such garbage in the name of free speech, or just ignoring it, doesn't work, and only serves to embolden and amplify the handful of folks who are interested in venting inflammatory stuff.  That's the problem.

@PunterLog is simply a Rana Ayyub wannabe - just how she indulges in cherrypicked selective outrage against hinduism, and her agenda is nakedly obvious, even if she uses "facts" for pushing it, we recognize her as peddling outrage clickbaiting as a profession.  And despise her for it.  Do we want a reverse image of that on our forum constantly peddling "selected" tweets and social media garbage, only to get folks riled up?  Fools will post such stuff and ask dumb questions - "am I wrong?"  "how many muslims are condemning xyz". etc.  I expect folks to be smarter than to fall for such silliness.

I say the same thing. A monotheist can be a good person. But it is purely due to his/her superior personal moral code.

I am not going to bother with cherrypicked quotes from the manusmriti to counter this.  The point is made without doing so.

I take deep pride in my religion, in its capacity for spiritual evolution even a millennia or more earlier, and how it has built-in space for tolerance and multiple pathways to the divine.  But that pride shouldn't turn into ignorant hubris.

Even if you don't, it's okay. You are a hindu. But it wouldn't have been okay if you were peacefull.

not sure what your point is.  If some other fools want to behave foolishly, that doesn't mean that me not being a fool is anything extraordinary.

3, Pakistan - hindus and christians

4, Bangladesh - hindus.

.......

are you saying these people never suffered any persecution ? will you give your anecdotal ' i live in middle east and want to show solidarity with middle east to feel safe' experience to show the above did not happen.

lol

dont get me wrong, SL tamils faced persecution from Buddhists in SL, Rohingiya faced persecution in Myanmar, not discounting it.

i dont get why monotheism is bad specifically.  National boundaries are very relevant for Christian countries.

There is no liberalism in war. And war only needs one side to start it. Guess liberals are digging their own grave by existing.

I see that some other Mod has censored @PunterLog foolish personal attack on me - bit unnecessary because it was yet another demonstration of his foolishness and perverted "logic".

Its one thing to criticize, call out persecution of Hindus - nothing wrong with that. Its quite another to turn it into the boring and ignorant "muslims so bad" whinging moan.  It actually detracts from the genuine problems that Hindus face, and give the perpetrators an exit pathway to shift the conversation into childish tu tu mein mein.

Losers like him think they are "advocating" on behalf of hindus, when instead they are hurting the community's cause.  Not much different from the ignorant pyaadas  like Ajmal Kasab who thought they were fighting for their religion, but only managed to bring themselves and their religion shame.  Only difference is that those criminals used violence to "phight", while these internet jihadis fling vile insults and 'phight' using rhetoric that only their small troop of monkeys finds "smart".

who gave you the high horse to call any group any name  ?

All seculars like @sandeep & @EnterTheVoid should live in a Muslim-only neighbourhood for a minimum of 1 year.

All the secularism that they have drilled into their brains will vanish away very quickly. :hysterical:

It’s very easy to talk rubbish when living in a well-developed neighbourhood with educated neighbours. Put your money where your mouth is and accept the challenge written above. :hysterical:
