Jimmy+Archer+Olly+Leach looks good imo. If they are daring, they can pick Bess I'm place of pope since pope has been a dud in this series

No need of Bess or moeen in D/N test..  Root & leach should do the job.  3 pacers..  Jimmy Wood Olly.  

Wood may play over Archer according to rotation policy.

Unlikely to be an issue if it spins, quickly. Can't have a repeat of this track but what about Mumbai 2016? That's a similar soil & slightly similar surrounding.

I hope dew is not a concern. If the inherent nature of the pitch is turn and bounce, no doubt India has to play two spinners

They will play at least two for sure, the biggest issue is not leaving too much grass or moisture to make Anderson a serious threat for us. Negate Anders & I'd argue we'll win easily!

Do they risk Jimmy for both tests? I feel they thought they could get away with it in Chennai based on their inform batting in the second test.

I do feel that they will play Bess, Leech, Anderson and Archer in the next test. With Root/Stokes as the firth bowler.

Well it depends on what kinda track we see in that game on a new stadium.  Pink ball requires a bit of grass even in SC to last.  Hopefully the pitch isn't flat but sporty for both pace & spin.  But expect Eng to attack with mostly pace.  Their spinners apart from leach are anyway mediocre.

Its funny but have to give it to Anderson.. 11 years on and we still shiver at the thought of him.. home and away.. master bowler.. nearing 40.. he ll still be deadly this year August..

Ahmedabad has variety of soils to choose from. They can prepare any kind of pitch.

this is only the squad not final XI. When Moeen Ali goes back to England, its not going to be secret that he won't play in next two games, opposition will know it anyway. But fans and media will worry and speculate why he went back suddenly. This is a frequent issue for them because of their rotation policy. Announcing a squad beforehand is good way to address the worries before any wild speculations happen in media
