In IPL, it was quite obvious which is why he was struggling and getting out in the first two overs only.

 

Maybe some technical guidance by Shastri Ji in the nets during the Australia tour has led to improvement in his game. But this attack against which he scored today is pretty awful to begin with. His test will be during IPL, if it works he can be a destructive match winner at the top order.

All I will say is watch out for Shaw. This will bite our padosis in the bum. He is an extremely gifted player. He is just having some technical deficiency. Once he fixes up his inswinging deliveries issue he will be a force.

averaged 35 in first class. not sure he would have done well tbh but yes in sena he could have been a great option.

He won 2 tests in SA single handedly against ATG  SA test side and I remember he had a couple of spells in England where he was literally unplayable. Only difference is we didn’t hype him up like Asif etc. he was a magician with the ball but just didn’t have a brain in the right place.
