Nobody is going to talk about the toss?

Toss was the flavor of the week after T2, all the rage on SM. How India won only because of winning a crucial toss, how matches in India are toss dependent yada yada.

We saw a tougher pitch here, lost the toss, won the match by 10 wickets. So right now pitch is flavor of the week (not saying it is wrong) but why have 'experts' stopped talking about the importance of toss in 'these conditions'?

The way I see it, India lost 4 tosses in 2016 Eng series, won 3 and drew 1. Against the same opponent we have won a match by 300+ runs after winning a toss, by 10 wickets and 3+ days to spare after losing a toss. Not just in 'these conditions', in Australia we won at MCG, Gabba after losing toss, drew at SCG after losing the toss.

So will Team India get credit for removing toss from equation. Will experts at least not talk about toss in near future, especially 'in these conditions'?

And here is another interesting stat

The simple fact is that we are way better than them on spinning wickets. Our batting actually sucks big time on spinning wickets and Rohit was the difference maker in T2 and T3. Take out his contribution and we lose T2 and somehow scrape through in T3. Toss is immaterial in this context. We were actually unlucky due to toss in T1 and no one talks about it.

Also, we have played fewer matches at home compared to all SENA teams. So much for us playing at home all the time.

My favorite phrase in cricket from the great English experts is 'in these conditions'.

Yes.

We always hear that Ashwin is good " in these conditions ".

Why don't we hear that Anderson and Broad are good " in these conditions " when they are playing in England  !!

I want Sunny G and Bhogle to repeat this phrase throughout the English summer. High time we give back.

'Anderson and Broad are excellent bowlers in these conditions'

'Anderson suddenly found his mojo back in these conditions'

'England are a very strong team and always do well in these conditions'

'When it is overcast, Anderson turns into a very good bowler in these conditions'

A few ICF toss experts were convinced that the only reason we won T2 was because we won the toss, never mind that it would have taken Eng another 2.5 innings to wipe out the margin of defeat.

I wonder what mental gymnastics they will use now. Victory by 10 wickets, I mean we aren't thaaat bad after losing the toss at home irrespective of conditions. 16-2, let us make it 17-2 in T4 and get a few daddy 100s along the way.

It seems to me some cricket fans want to always see the team in a certain manner i.e. fast bowling oriented. They are thus unhappy when spin dominates the game even though that is the sphere which gives us the advantage and we thus have these justifications around toss and pitch.

I didn't like the third test pitch but the second test was very manageable, our #8 legend scored a hundred and it sucks for the poms if their entire 11 cannot manage half of that individually.

We are better on spinning tracks.

We are better on bouncy tracks.

We are better on low bounce flat pitches.

On green mambas they are better but they haven't faced our best side yet for those Condtions with both Ashwin and jaddu playing together along with Siraj bumrah and Ishant. For those Condtions we need swing bowlers. Siraj Bhuvi Ishant would excel.

On flat Pattas it's a lottery based on toss.
