Positivity rates yes. But mortality and deaths are greusome. It’s true what you said about stats. When I read them disconnected when I look for daily numbers for hope, but that day deaths were reported as 66 in Bangalore, I realized, I knew two of them

see ultimately you still need data to make any decisions.

The positivity rate is in net decline because populous states to the north based on testing (which has been expanded) are reporting lower numbers.

AP Kar TN and the east are rising.

I also have said many times that real deaths are 3 to 4 times the figure. So 4300 will translate to 4300*3 to 4300*4

I dont know why that is seen as being a rosy picture. I achowledge that deaths in reality are much higher. But at the same time we need to accept India as a whole the wave has peaked. I dont know why people find this hard to believe

Its been over one year now, we still can’t understand how it behaves. In last 6 months, I came in contact with a Covid positive person. then I had Az vaccine too. Last week they did antibody testing on me and I was having none.

Means , I am still vulnerable to Covid despite vaccination and despite coming in close contact wit Covid person.

their are also reports of blood clotting post vaccine

the whole thread covers such cases

Certainly.   1621 teachers who did poll duty died.  That is an absolute tragedy.

Its allready identified. I don’t understand why this info is not among Indian medical community. If you have headache for more than 4 days after vaccine, its most likely blood clot in brain. Get yourself admitted to hospital immediately. Thats advise here.

chance of ipeople dieing due to vaccine related clot is 2 per million.

But if you didn’t had vaccine, more sever blood clot will happen if you contact covid

J&J vaccine has caused 26 bloot clots out of 8 million doses. None of them died though.  Atleast fraction of population are going to be allergic to vaccine. We can't do much about it. That is why they have extended the monitoring period to 28 days now. But as per the study none of them died due to vaccine.

We dont even have 100th of healthcare infrastructure of US. It is very bad. With this population, we are screwed. Even if all the resources of the world come to rescue, we will still loose large number of people. How are we supposed to save people?

Why are they not suggesting blood thinner for few days for vulnerable after vaccine ?

Pfizer caused severe headache for some. But no blood clot reported. It is just inflammatory response.

Right on money here. Problem is warfarin can be prescribed but thats where patient history is needed. In India, people do not have a medical record till they reach mature age of 50+

You can take blood thinners after 2nd dose. I don't think there are any restriction

There are more people who suffer from bleeding too. Blood thinners are no no For them. So many diseases man. Patient history is must for docs to make a call

Did court tell them to send pregnent women ?? Did courts tell them not to have strict rules ??

Court ne kaha to state or EC ka koi responsibility nahin rules maintain karne men. Im sure court ne ye to nahin kaha ki dont follow social distancing n rules. And courts didnt tell them to have poor medical system. Ppl aint dying from corona they are dying form poor medical system

In india, social distancing is a myth. How can you expect social distancing in elections where thousands coming to vote.

Even without distancing you can still survive but you need to wear mask. A North Indian friend mine said before second wave only NRI returns wear masks.

accepted, never denied but courts are also right when they point the medical system has gone to dogs

No medical system can take such load. It's just unrealistic. People just have to hope it goes away, keep their asses at home as much as possible and wait for it to pass. For me, it's the people who are at fault. Political leaders aren't magicians. Your safety is in your own hands.

It is really sad I got a WhatsApp forward I which an old person got crows and people are feeding the last rites food in Delhi. Shortage of crows as well in India. Another thing was none were wearing masks.

In my case Pfizer first shot triggered migraine attack. It is also an existing condition for me. But dormant for a long time. Again it was triggered.  It took about 3 weeks to recover. So i was worried about 2nd shot. But surprisingly second shot was not that bad. I think there will be some side effects for all.  But very very few cases got serious. We are talking about .000325% (Johnson & Johnson),  0.0008%.(Astrazeneca)

Some level of reaction. But benefits outweigh the risks.

Almost no one in UP rural areas were wearing masks in the last few months. Why do we need police to enforce everything . People don't take social responsibility , not even for themselves and their family.

If they were prep it wud have been way better, if they anticipated this surely oxygen stocks n beds wud have been more. We had an year and other countries had 2nd wave so automatically this was suppose to happen to us as well.

Ppl are careless as always doesnt mean govt go careless....this much load cant be taken but preventive measures n planning cud have been way better.

Leaders arent suppose to brag about crowds in rallies or tell ppl not wear mask or flaunt around without mask themselves.

Crores are spend on Election n horse trading are you saying those money cudnt have been used for building a better medical infrastructure. Mumbai did better (means the chaos didnt happen much with oxygen n beds) now before u say BMC has money..its how u use money
