If our selectors build the squad based on the perception of those Sydney pitches in late 2020 then we will be in for a tough time. A squad for multi-conditions and choosing the 11 based on the pitch, maybe the key. Just stick to standard template. Aussie template not dimwit kohli one. 2 premium pacers. One fast express type bowler. Batting till 8. With 2 pace bowling all rounders. Csn be trundlers too no problem One and only one spinner.
express bowling Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) Shami working up a lot of pace ... along with bounce, accuracy and seam movement. Quite a few bslls at 143 k and 144 k and hurrying batters visually. Seems to be in good rhythm. One wicket ax a result. Edited April 17, 2022 by express bowling Mosher, vishalvirsingh and Vijy 3

rkt.india Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Mukesh is now bowling how he used to bowl in domestic. Always looked quite sharp in domestic cricket than what he had bowled till now in IPl. Today has bowled in 138-143 range.
vishalvirsingh Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 from my Perspective ( if I am a selector), pacers that I may select for each format in SENA countries ( in pace friendly pitches) Rotation of Pacers is a must keeping them fresh and ready. T20- Nattu , Khaleel , Deepak Chahar , Harshal , Shardul , Hardik , Bumrah , Prasidh , Avesh Khan , Arshdeep ( is a smart trundler) ODI- Khaleel , Avesh , Shardul, Hardik , SHAMMI, Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen , Prasidh , SIRAJ, bumrah , Umesh , Akash deep ( has a good bouncer), kuldeep sen Tests- Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen, Prasidh , Umesh Yadav, SHAMMI , Bumrah, SIRAJ, avesh Khan and KHALEEL, kuldeep sen and Hardik / Shardul ( not both) Ignoring BHuvi as he is not at his best, also ignoring mavi/nagarkoti/ kartik tyagi as mavi underperformed and others have not played in this IPL. Super fast bowlers DO NOT fit in ideally in a T20 Team as they can gift away some runs in the form of snicks , so in my t20 team , i have not picked kuldeep sen and umran malik. in nd International T20 Match a fast bowler has to try and stop runs and take wickets. Super fast bowlers are ideal for TESTS and fit in to ODI's. Super fast bowlers like 4 over Spells and that's what they will get in Tests and ODI. In Tests they may be required to bowl 16 overs in a day in 4 spells and in ODI , only 10 overs. Super fast bowlers like FREEDOM to bowl. Freedom means they do not want to be told to STOP RUNS , they always want to CLean Bowl batsman OR get him Out. That happens in TESTS and a bit in ODI's. Venkatesh Iyer can be considered for some T20 and ODI but mainly as batting all rounder so I have not written above. He is not a replacement to Hardik as Hardik can be a 5th bowler but venky can be a 6th bowler only. Lord, singhvivek141 and daryl1985 3

singhvivek141 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) On the topic of Umran Malik, why is everyone comparing his bowling action to Waqar Younis. I am not able to draw any relation between their bowling actions, infact to me his action is more like Umesh Yadav. Can anyone highlight me, what similarities Waqar and Umran have. Coz, most of the senior players (like Irfan Pathan) are going ga ga over the comparison and I am finding it really difficult to understand. Edited April 17, 2022 by singhvivek141

He to me looks like Md. Amir who will touch 140 in T20 but in Tests will bowl at 127-130. Prasidh, Shardul in T20's will be a no-no if they have to bowl in slog overs. Kuldeep Sen has more tools to succeed in T20I as of now. tweaker 1
rkt.india Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) Saw Hangargekar in the crowd cheering in CSK jersey. Seems like have no plan of playing him or either he is injured. Many people believe that going to gym daily is in their best interest, when actually it is the other way round. Rest is ESSENTIAL. An athlete should sleep for at least 9 hours daily for muscles memory, anti-ageing and anti-stress benefits. Roger Federer used to sleep 12 hours every day when he was at his peak. People think someone is fat because he eats a lot, when the silent culprit is lack of adequate sleep. All these injuries that befall on our cricketers, I suspect they are mostly from overwork and inadequate rest. Yesterday, I heard the commentators revealing that Umran Malik likes to sleep 10-12 hours everyday. Excellent! flamy, Mosher and express bowling 3
singhvivek141 Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 RR has dropped Kuldeep Sen, after one failure. That's the problem with Indian captains, they don't know how to manage a fast bowler. Luckily for Umran, Kane is there. express bowling, Forward Defence, SandeepMotta and 1 other 4
