Non stats padders Ind 11

Recommended Posts

From those who do not care about personal stats + youngsters, who are a bit early to judge

Padikkal (looks in good form and shown an improvement in his game esp. in PP)

Agarwal - for quick 20s in PP + excellent fielder ... other options include Dhawan for experience (but a poor fielder), Shaw (but a poor fielder), Kishan (if in form), ...

Samson

SKY

Pant

SDP (Hardik)

Tewatia

Bhuvi or R Chahar for spin

Siraj (poor fielder) or D Chahar -> to utilize PP with swing bowling

Bumrah (poor fielder)

Natrajan (poor fielder)

SDP can use some padding (stats) based on how things are going.

You mean take 1 and 2 in the death overs with batting still to come to remain not out ... Players like SDP, Pollard, Morgan, Buttler, Pooran, Russell, etc. will not do that

Most disgusting lineup for t20. You know what's funny? They will all except Manish probably play over more deserving players.

Don't think Iyer gets into the team either. Pant, SKY and Pandya are clearly ahead in the reckoning. Even Rahul is also behind those three in the consideration.

no I mean score than 10 runs kind of stat

anyone can score a 10 including those batting after him by picking 1s and 2s and getting an odd boundary  ... SDP's role is to go for max ... the type of players, when the walk in, seek to impact the game from ball one ... a big box office draw as well :hatsoff:

A reminder: SDP v Rohit in IPL

2017

  • SDP - Avg 36, SR 156; + 6 wkts
  • Rohit - Avg 24, SR 122

2018

  • SDP - Avg 29, SR 133; + 18 wkts
  • Rohit - Avg 24, SR 133

2019

  • SDP - Avg 45, SR 191; + 14 wkts
  • Rohit - Avg 29, SR 129

2020

  • SDP - Avg 35, SR 179; did not bowl due to injury
  • Rohit - Avg 28, SR 128

When you know that SDP does not play for stats, the gap is even larger as if he played for stats, he could have even better #s!
