You have no idea ...Media hasn't even shown 1% of  the crap we are going here .

I'm isolating for the past 17 day total and still not recovered from the same .While trying to help my friends and other in whatever way I can .

I have been calling so many people here almost everyday to give my condolences  .I don't know about others but I will never forgive people who had the power to take decision  but decided not to and let people die .

So media should help out spreading information on where oxygen, beds, meds are available. Don’t show half burnt bodies and declare apocalypse has arrived.

Thanks. This is the third relative I have lost to COVID. 2 of them could have been prevented if not for the failure of the healthcare system.

Do you think there is a system to begin with at all?

I will not argue with you on this despite you calling me a liar about reporting deaths in my family. I will pray and hope your family members do not suffer the same fate that my family did. Stay safe!

No one in any part of India followed Covid appropriate behaviour specially since Jan-21. I am simply stating obvious fact. I don’t know why you fell for it. May be , you are based out of India

Report all you want.

And Pigs also fly

You have been trying to divert attention to the carelessness of the general public whenever someone accuses the central government. Trying to create a perception that it was all the public's fault and government did as best as it can, inspire of many many many articles pointing out the obvious that your supreme leader *ed up. Yesterday's Lancet article is the latest example.

All this was atleast bearable, but directly accusing someone personally that their loved ones died because they were careless is disgusting. I hope mods are watching this, and request everyone to maintain basic humanity and decency.

No there is no credible public healthcare system in India. The central govt ignored all the warnings, did not enforce the masking and  social distance protocols, was busy with elections and most of all had no accelerated vaccination program for 1.4 billion people. It is unconscionable that India being be the worlds’s largest vaccine manufacturer and runs out of supplies and vaccine. They even exported vaccines when they had to vaccinate 1.4 billion of them. Who makes these types of decisions? Sadly people have died, I have lost loved ones and this is far from over. There are hundreds of thousands of people who will die. When all said and done, the body count in India will surpass several millions because a lot of the deaths are not noted and the Mod govt is good a suppressing facts.

Whatever it may be.

Dragging in family members or taking digs at them, that's crossing all boundaries.

It's just an internet forum.

Sorry for your loss man. But I consider the central government is a symptom of malaise. We:

a. Do not follow rules.

b. Consider breaking rules as mark of status

c. Zero civic sense

d. Try very hard to game the system to our own benefit.

e. Do everything last moment.

We were like this and will be like this for generations. The pandemic has exposed our culture to the max.

Agree, Personal tragedy (real or manufacred) shouldn’t have never been used as justification to abuse another poster. Covid isn’t differentiating between peoples of ideology.

its back, In UP, allthough, they have increase fine from Rs 1000 to Rs 10,000 for not wearing mask. People are still not wearing it as soon as they realise that policeman is not around.

BTW, If I am to belive, all these Soros and Khalistani and Kashmiri or libdu gang has been told that funding is not available in long run. So if there is someone who is funding protest and actively involved in anti India activities in West, please shop your operations  outside West or sooner, rather than later , you may get deported or effed locally

Hiding behind the keyboard gives folks all sorts of license. I follow a rule of behaving the same way in person as online. I got upset being lectured on how I should react when I just lost my uncle. I would act the same way if I was being lectured face to face.

Modi is the face of nation and should absolutely be criticized now and not when the pandemic is over. This is his job, the welfare of his citizens. What is point of having a free Democratic society then?

Oh wait, I realized that he and his sycophants do not like free speech when it does of favor them. Anyway, I try not to listen to the COVID news in India as it is all depressing. I hope things turn around by the end of 2021. But how many loved ones would we have lost by then? Until now, I have never lost any loved ones from an epidemic or pandemic. Count is 3 right now and who knows if it will be higher.

So you like to give lectures and make stupid generalisations - and others have to listen to your rantings peaceably eh? God forbid someone disagrees with your point of view! Everyone else in India has been untouched by this pandemic.

I feel the pain. I do not wish this situation even on my worst enemy. :(

Even if we are governed by the best leader in the world, the society is so rotten that it will give this same exact result.  Making it a crusade against one man will only give emotional satisfaction at personal level in these tough times.

Beyond that it does not serve any benefit.

Is Barkha's rant against this article?

What rant? I am surprised a sell-out like her has any credibility at all.
