Israel and Iran (through its proxies) are already in a low level war. Therefore, the more relevant question could be when would the low level war escalate to next stage rather than will there be a war.

Since Hezbollah, with an elite terrorist army and an estimated stock of some 250K rockets, is in the north, the key battle is expected to take place there. However, because Israel is fighting a terrorist army, the rules of engagement and how its success is measured are different. In a traditional war, if Army A occupies the territory of Army B but later loses the territory, Army A has lost. In a war with a terrorist army, some 100 militants can come in, capture a small village, kill the villagers, and raise their flag there, post all these on social media (YT) and claim a victory over IDF, does not matter if they get wiped out by IDF a few hours later. Therefore, Israel focuses on giving zero territory to these forces, which makes it tougher to manage such wars in many ways.

On Fri, there were reports on Palestinian protest  (including attacks on Israeli police) at Temple Mount in Jerusalem. While Hamas sent incendiary balloons … Israel will take action here and there …  Such a continued situation means the region remains a tinderbox

Next potential flash point could be places like Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan neighbourhoods of East Jerusalem (considered as occupied) where Israeli settlers are in moving in with Palestinians being forced to move out

In the last Israel-Hezbollah war (2006 iirc), Hezbollah fired around 4k rockets in a month. Israel routed it

With the rocket arsenal that Hezbollah has amassed now, it can fire that many in a day over a month. Additionally, Iran has Israel surrounded through its proxies in Gaza (Hamas), Yemen, Syria, etc., so Israel could see action on all fronts.

Going by the word going around, the next Israel-Hezbollah(Iran) war could be the last one b/w the two. Israel may go all out too to wipe off Hezbollah completely. It could be like nothing seen before :fear1:
