Then found out there was a vaccination camp run by state govt in a nearby govt school, attended that camp, people from all strata of society were there, local panchayat workers registered me again on the spot with a different ID (earlier had registered with PAN, this time with Aadhaar), free vaccine, took almost 2 hours for the whole process because of the queue....luckily I was one of the first to arrive, went there an hour before the start. Everything smooth, hygienic, cordial, if you can't get slots try to search for nearby vaccine camps, always be on the lookout for info. gattaca Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 You can walk in to the vaccine center and take a token. Only concern is you will be exposed staying outside in the line.
Number Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 They can take help of someone who owns a phone/laptop/computer. Reality is the vaccine availability is a big issue and getting it on walk-in is a big challenge. Another way is to get it done through private hospitals.

This app is not available for outside country (quite logically) and for my nother I had to get help from somebody else. Now, she is waiting till Aug for the second dose as there is no availability and shortage and not on priority. BacktoCricaddict 1
bharathh Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 You can contact the local municipal authority and they help find a slot for you. For example bbmp in bangalore can be contacted in person or on the phone for an appointment

If you check around 4:30pm , most vaccination centers have slots for 45+ age group for the next day.. Or you can try walking in. To OP: you should take help from a friendly neighborhood samaritan or just walk in with an ID card like Aadhar. coffee_rules 1

As @diga mentioned, walk-in was available for 45+. Not sure about current situation. coffee_rules 1

I am not looking for vaccine slots right now. I have recently recovered from COVID, so will have to wait for some time. coffee_rules 1

Unfortunately, even if there are alternatives, if people like you spending days then it means there is serious lack of awareness about it and whatever is being done to advertise all options is inadequate. coffee_rules 1

I don't know about the rest of India, but in Maharashtra aanganwadi workers have been roped in to educate people about Covid 19 and the vaccines and carry out vaccination drives. Obviously its mainly limited to those villages which are close to highways/major cities and there is a larger chance of catching the virus.

I dont know... but from ppl i know across india so far have confirmed this in the places thry live 2. I havent seen ads on tv but in the radio i have heard tgis. My aunt who is active in the apt associations tell that the bbmp esp has been organizing drives to get ppl registered across the city

beetle Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 It is a problem in cities. Walk ins are not a problem in many vaccination centres in out skirts or rural areas. A cousin of mine had taken his teacher wife for vaccination to the outskirts vaccination centre. ( She had an appointment arranged by her school).They vaccinated him too as there were hardly any people around .

Thanks She got her second dose finally last week. After June 21st, the vaccine supply was increased by centre's efforts. We went through Bank Pensioners' drive for vaccines and got it in a SBI dispensary. Bangalore Urban is leading in the vaccine drives. beetle 1
