say what you will about conditions etc etc  but those are some insane elite level stats

no. McGrath was the same speed as Jamieson. Both Mcgrath and even Jamieson have the ability to increase pace when required. Obviously can’t bowl 150+ but they can easily up their pace from 130-135 in England/ Newzealand to 140+ if required. Sometimes it is stupid to focus on pace when the pitch and weather is helping.

Brett Lee in his first 7-8 tests was very similar.

Jamison isn't a 140 bowler. He can't up his pace as  he doesn't have the ability to do that. His strength is accuracy and extra bounce.

Excellent start to his career. Keeps things very simple. The ease with which he is able to hit the good length spots so consistently is amazing to see 

 

His next Test series is in India in November. Sadly just a 2 test series (NZ deserve a minimum 3 test series).Let's see how he adjusts.

He has a real chance to be an ATG. He can/will be a beast in SA, Eng, NZ. And the SL, WL, and Zim are quite weak and can be disposed off. this only leaves Banglas (who are good in home conditions), Ind and Aus. I think he will do quite well against bangla bois, and will do decently (albeit not great) in Ind and Oz.

i doubt mayank will play for India much in future

His stats will eventually normalize but easily will end up as one of the best for NZ. His batting still can improve and he has the potential to help NZ win other world tournaments as well.
