Clown ain't going anywhere.  His PR is already at work stealing all the credit as he reached final.

Buddies will also stay in the team.

It's high time we sort the middle order. The next cycle for WTC is starting so the best opportune moment is here. We need to realize the strengths of the players.

Siraj, Sundar, Thakur are in high flying form and are really developing well. We don't want to park all their heat in the dressing room.

Bumrah needs a rest. He needs to work on his lengths. The back of the length limited overs bowling is not doing any favors to himself or the team.

Outside India we need a lower order which is capable of taking advantage against tiring attacks. Sundar - Pant - Thakur - Ashwin is perfectly capable of launching that counter attacking assault.

For country's sake, I request Mr. Virat Kohli to hand over the captaincy and play under Rahane in this cycle. You are still the "greatest" player of the team and no one will ever take the limelight from you. You can also focus on your batting. The entire country will appreciate you for your selfless move and stories will be written on your graciousness for generations to come. Please consider this!

Rahul?????He doesn't even have mentality to survive in 50 overs and here we are putting him in test , he is another mental midget. Remember SR is overrated comment. They all learned from Kohli school of thought. I dont want chokers in team. Put all the gutsy players in the team.

While Rahane as a person has my respect, a team picks itself first and then the captain. Apart from the MCG knock where he received multiple chances, he has pretty much sucked in the other games. I know Pujara is the latest punching bag and rightfully so but Pujara is behind Rahane in the pecking order for getting the axe.

how so?

Rahane top scored for us in WTC,far ahead of Pujara with 3 tons to zero

Pujara was brilliant in Aus but either side of that he's not done much.

Ideally both should be dropped

If Bhuvi can bowl 12-15 overs a day he can be anyday better than pandya & shankar. Need to play 3 pacers with bhuvi as bowling all rounder. Also want gill as opener or #3.

he gets injured bowling 4 overs these days

so many ppl have mayank:giggle:, grass is greener on the other side

Gill is taking it too casual, he has some backing now, no reason why he’s a shoo-in. He has bad trigger movement for deliveries coming in

thats the perception with all elegant players. Gower, Rohit, Inzy all have been blamed for this.

His technique doesnt have even have 10 % of issues of what mayank has, Mayank's is all over the place

Thats okay. At best he will score a duck, we might get rolled over for 150 and go onto lose 5-0, currently with all the experience we are not going to do much better either. Despite all technical issues, Mayank deserves a run of 10 tests. He matched Rohit for scores in Indian conditions, will do decently in WI, SL and BD. In SENA he may suck and will average 20-25, that's fine. You take a chance and give him some experience for the next round of SENA tours.

I am with this. He has potential if he hits form like he did va Aussies in 2018 vs prime Cummins. He handled him quite well at the time.

Too much t20 ruined him so far.
