Kishan can easily bat at 3 and add a lot of value.  This is a dead rubber game and Kohli could have batted at 4.

True. TM and these guys (seniors) act as if their batting positions are for themselves only. Kishan at 3 and Gill-Rohit opening make much more sense and Kishan won't find it tough if he has to open someday due to injury of either opener. Kohli the statpadder could have been rested today or shifted to bat at 4. These idiot seniors and TM talk about encouraging youngsters etc in their stupid talk shows with Gaurav Kapoor and that taklu guy but are utterly selfish when it comes to real game.

I have seen our cricket from 1997-98 and of all the generations, Kohli-Rohit generation has been the least supportive of youngsters. I remember at one point I used to be mad at Dhoni for giving so much support to Jaddu, Chawla, Ishant, Rohit etc. 

Kohli was totally insecure of youngsters shining and it has gone worse under Lowhit.

This is why Indian cricket is epitome of mediocrity relative to the resources, money and population available.

 

A dead rubber and have two young guys Kishan and Arshdeep not playing entire series in a meaningless series.

The most important point here is giving chances to a guy who has scored 200+ in the last game he has played in this format. 

 

If SKY has to be played then it should be an additional step and anyone among Kohli, Rahul or even Kaptaan Saab can be rested in a dead rubber match.

Umran has looked a better ODI bowler than both Shami and Shardul in the recent past.

Shardul takes wickets every match and gets termed lucky. When Umran takes wicket with wayward line, it's skill. Both are equally good/bad, senior or no senior.
