Apart from Michael Holding no one can say that Kohli can't play square cut..  That 2nd inns dismissal to Jamieson if he had that stroke in his arsenal dude would had put it away.  Dravid or SRT would smack that through backward of point fielder.

• He has been our top scorer for years n years , so him having a off phase is fine. Even i feel we can be easy on him as a batsman coz every batsman will have these phases.

Its also because of playing outside the crease.Need to play in the crease so that he can play off the backfoot

He is most of the times committed on front foot...  Rohit was playing out of the crease as well but he played few square drives & cuts to perfection.  I think lack of ability is the the right word for Kohli.  That's why he will never be a complete player in my eyes.

How playing outside crease means you cant use backfoot at all ?. Its not like his backfoot is cemented. If someone bowls short ball you telling me he will not pull/hook. Kohli never had a cut short.

As far as I am concerned, after Australia 2020-21, Rishabh Pant can do whatever the eff he wants while batting. 

 

In the crease, outside the crease, play a yorker off the backfoot and a bouncer on the front foot, bat right handed, play with one eye closed and one hand waving at the bowler, holding Tim Paine's baby in his hand, whatever the fark he wants.  He has contributed more to critical India wins as a batsman than anyone besides VVSL.  All of these others can shove it.

Pant is an ATG. Back to back match winning knocks vs Aussies and the dirty poms. He is an incredible player. 

 

He is already better than any batsman Pakistan has produced. No Pakistan batsman comes close to him in terms of match winning ability.
