@Gollum- This is what i was saying, now pant is an easy target but he has been most consistent batsman for us for 1 yr  but defends pujara n no question over kohli's captaincy or rahane . Sad he doesnt even notice technical issues with mayank n pujara but easily pointed out gill shot. Juniors are always easy to target . Thats why dropping anyone is hard ...coz these guys will immediately jump on making the dropped guy a victim. If you dont make changes you dont move ahead

Pant is the least of the worries for this Indian side. You need batsmen like him who are unconventional, that's what makes them match winners. Dont turn him 'a play by the book' player, he will lose whatever special ability he has.

Gill or Pant can be targeted easily as they are youngsters.

Only in india it happens that the No.3 and No.4 batsman always escape criticism.  But a No 6 batsman is always blamed.  So, a No.6 batsman is expected to be more skillful than the top order and outscore them?

What is the point being such a huge figure in Indian cricket when you keep mum under various Indian captains and blame youngsters ,don't have guts to call out seniors,if that is the case then fill up the batting positions by reappointing Dhoni,Sachin,Dravid,VVS etc, shut the door on newcomers

Gavaskar lacks any kind of guts as an analyst and is not that analytical either.
