Don’t wanna jinx, but if Aditi gets a medal here, will she be youngest Indian Olympic medalist?

Not sure. She is 23. Many in indian hockey team is under that. Individual Sports ..how old was leander when he won in 1996.. not sure

Bajrang will face Haji Aliyev from Azerbaijan in the semis. Just saw a YouTube clip where Bajrang defeated him in Pro Wrestling league a few years ago. However it was close(8-6) and Bajrang was in much better shape fitness wise.

@Gollum and others please provide some insights.

This Azeri guy is Bajrang's first real test today. Him and that Kazakh dude Daulet (defeated our Bajrang earlier in World Championship) were the only realistic threats,

Haven't watched any of his bouts, just read articles on The Field (Scroll).

On paper more accomplished than Bajrang though all 3 of his world championship golds came in 61 kg category. Bajrang is higher seeded but dunno about his knee. The way the Azeri beat Daulet, have to put him as favorite especially because of the Indian's dodgy fitness (strapped knee not a good sign, will be targeted relentlessly). No expectation really, if Punia wins, great; if he doesn't there's a chance for bronze tomorrow.

Historically 65 kg is the toughest weight category in this discipline in men's side, too much competition and every wrestler is a beast.

That's almost perfect.

If I want to be too critical, I would say all woman wrestlers disappointed big time.

Aditi’s final shot for the day. 18 holes done for all toppers.  If no Golf tomorrow, then this could be her Silver Medal journey’s last shot.

 Well player Aditi.

In case of further play tomorrow she’s assured of a silver right?

Getting Waarinka like vibe from Aditi before French open 2015 final which was supposed to be won by Djoker who beat Nadal earlier on clay but even after playing like champion, he lost to Wawrinka who outclassed him.

If 18 holes happen, Aditi will take gold beating Korda. Aditi looks promising and more hungry to me while Korda losing it a bit.

Yeah agree. That aged me. It was pulse pounding the whole match against that Kirean world champion .. i think if everyone just goes through the comments on this thread of that particular match they ll realise how nerve shredding it was..
