It is surprising how littke flak Kerela is getting for not getting it's act together for so long. When covid started, it was like kerela was the super advanced state that was successful unlike the bimaaru north states.

Had it been UP or Uttarakhand that fared so bad...the media would be tearing the govts apart for being backward and useless.

Kerela and Maharastra need to be pulled up for their extremely poor covid response.

Forget getting flak, people are busy claiming that Kerala has higher cases because of it's superior infra.

Looks fake report by OpIndia. There is no such sponsored by tag on the article.

And why would opindia fake it? Maybe the Reuters site took it out..it even says 6 minute read

The sponsored tag is there right below the headline. Took a screenshot:

Oh, I didn't get it because I had adblocker turned on.

From the script, it looks like an ad served by Google, that's why it was blocked by adblocker.

Cases in Kerala never went down.

In May, Kerala test positivity rate at 30% peaked with the country. ....then went down to 10% (but not by much, as you said) in June, ...since then up again...

Wasn't this already discussed? Kerala never achieved peak like other states so the virus has more population without antibodies to infect. And I am not seeing any reports of oxygen or bed shortage.

Other states have  more people to infect that Kerala.

This was discussed and we came to conclusion that illiteracy is better than communist literacy.
