4th innings target of 250 will be enough

I think Rohit and Pujara's wickets at the end brought England back into the game. If either had stayed at the wicket till stumps, it would have been easier to see of the new ball in the morning and then could have set England a big target.

They got complacent, that's the problem. these batsmen need the kind of bloody-mindedness that someone like Smith, Lara, Sehwag have. when you have got on top of an opposition, keep grinding until they are dust

100 runs will be quite tough because there will be cloud cover in the morning and the ball is still quite new. Batting was a bit tricky on 3rd day morning as well but India had both openers at the crease and they were able to see the new ball off and later it became easier for batting. But on 4th day, we will have Jadeja at the crease who doesnt inspire much confidence against the new ball and Rahane and Pant to come who have been struggling.

I think India will get another 50 runs at the most unless some slogging from Thakur or Umesh gets us another 30 runs but this is not going to happen everytime.

England will bat very well if the Pitch is flat ...in england if the ball swings, even 150 is very difficult to chase and if it does not swing even 300 is chasable. So if i am kohli i would see conditions that may come when england comes to bat and depends on that decide , how many runs should be given to them to chase. if it flat conditions then at least 325 runs and if it is swinging 210 is enough.

kohli is batting at 22 and jaddu at 9. india 171 ahead already,  another 120 runs and India will be in Safe zone.

add 200 and india's win assured(india 371 ahead)

Don’t forget the counterattack of Bairstow and Pope in the first innings. Root might again be the lynchpin. Any target below 300 is game. But I’m not expecting anything more from Indian batting lineup. Just hoping Kohli to score some runs.

If Rahane & Pant fail again (which they will) both needs to be dropped from the next series.

Why should pant be dropped based on one single failure in a tough overseas tour when he had a match winning century just last series and an epic series before that?

This is ridiculius double standards for youngsters when rahane etc have been carried for years

250 plus will be tough to chase in 4 th innings. But then we don’t have ashwin.

Average 4th innings score is 260 in oval. We need 280

I have no faith in our middle order. 110 runs more is a lot. I would say Max we will get is 70.

240 250 is to win for England. Can still win.

Completely disappointed with English pitches. This was again a doctored pitch. England is heavily relying on toss and India batting first. Getting wickets on Doctored  pitches on day 2 on is not easy. I hope Kohli for once puts English to bat first

Because Rahane has special privileges being a Mumbaikar. Nothing else explains asking for Pant to be dropped after 3-4 failures

See my post, I’ve asked both to be dropped. This regular brain fart batting by a WK cannot continue. It’s hurting the team. Yes he’d had been a winner on occasions but a brain farting WK will harm teams score most of the time than winning occasional matches.
I don’t want Saha back. We should have less idiotic WK/Batsmen in the team as options. Try any other young talent who Atleast can hit proper boundaries instead of doing Afridi like Monkey dance all the time.
