They have a decent native pool. Unfortunately ICC messed up on Kenya. Could have done a lot there. Unbelievable that a 2003 wc semifinalist (regardless of how they got there) doesn’t even qualify for qualifiers. Zimbabwe atleast there is a political issue there.

abc Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Oh noes! Jatinder was looking competent and settled out there. What a shame:-( To be fair, going by the kind of catches Bangladesh havd dropped by now today, it was surprisingly competent from Liton Das.

NameGoesHere Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Ok done. Would have been lovely if Oman won it.

They won't improve it if they are not there ... If they are good enough they will be there if they are not then tough f*king luck that's what tournament sport is all about maniac 1
AuxiliA Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 If the Arab countries start poaching fringe domestic Indian and Pakistani cricketers, like they do with Africans in athletics, they could assemble a team good enough to beat Bangladesh regularly.

Ultimately local board, admins, players have to stand up.

Actually Dinesh Karthik grew up in Kuwait? lol He can go play for them against BD. AuxiliA 1
abc Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Damn it, Oman is like one international quality batsman in Jatinder and "Guildford 2nd XI" for the rest, to paraphrase our favourite 80s New Zealand all-rounder ... nitinbwj 1
abc Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 At least Ayyan Khan can run. Since Jatinder got out, hardly any shot has had decent timing on it.
maniac Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Ayaan Khan I can see why he had to move to Oman nitinbwj and Lord 2

vvvslaxman Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Generally teams like this have 1 or 2 good batsmen and so many mediocre batsmen.
nitinbwj Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 (edited) So basically Oman has only 1 batsman Edited October 19, 2021 by nitinbwj
Vivek92 Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Athaur is back on commentary, hope restored for a Oman win.
maniac Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Murali K reading up on Oman player stats. Back to trolling Athar
