We need to begin he process of phasing out Kohli from our LOI squads immediately after the WC

Recommended Posts

Think about it - his batting has gone to dogs, is a very poor captain and man-manager, doesn’t offer any part time Bowling/keeping option. It totally screws up the balance of our squad, especially if Pandya isn’t going to be able to bowl anymore. Yes, Rohit, SKY, KL, Pant don’t bowl either but are obviously miles ahead as batsmen alone, and Kohli is easily the most expendable player at the moment. Every other international team has part timers in their first xi who can at the very least contribute 1 or 2 overs when required. The sooner we move on from Kohli and give his spot to a player who offers a part-time/all round option, the better.

I have said it earlier he is done n dusted.  It'll be easier to keep him out of the T20Is unless he fires on all cylinders in WT20 chances of which are far n few.

I don't think he is going anywhere in ODIs until 2023 WC.

I highly doubt it. Dude is a perennial failure.

In his mind he is already a champion. Because he won the world cup like 10 years back.

It's so easy to plan for him. Mystery spinner bamboozles him easily.

Then we have outswing bowlers with decent bounce who always trouble him. He tries to drive balls that should be fairly easy to out away but always comes up short. He lost his reflexes. Dude is finished.

Ideally we should have just one out of Dhawan, Rohit and Kohli playing in the 2023 WC and the best candidate till now would be Rohit as he may be the captain.

On batsmen now bowling, this specialist role theory in Indian cricket has gone too far. Look at it - none of the upcoming young batsmen bowl either - Shreyas, Shaw, Gill, Ruturaj, Paddikal, Jaiswal - all specialist batsmen.

Venkatesh Iyer, though not young, gives some hope if he can continue bowling. Others who can bowl like Samad and Abhishek are some way away from international selection. Others like Rana, Tewatiya, Dube are not exactly young.

Jaiswal can bowl handy leg spin..  Hopefully he doesn't go the Iyer way...  Iyer also used to bowl part time leg breaks & now he barely rolls his arms even.

Venky Iyer should be fine example for every youngster that you need a secondary skill set to have short cut to India side.

Some people still believe there will be a second peak...  He never was close to Sachin in terms of raw talent.

Never ever was. What an insult to sacchu and I don't even like sacchu. Make no mistake had Sachin played for virats team with our ATG bowling attack, I have no doubt he would have lead india to multiple series wins in England and n.z too.

Needs a break from cricket, probably after t20 WC, Ben Stokes ke jaisa mental break lena chahiye but the fact is Indian fans abused him for leaving the team for his newborn child, all hell will break loose if he takes a break for mental health.

Second peak to aaegi hi, no doubts about it, anyone having an iota of cricket acumen knows that.

Siraj lost his dad and still played. This louda left the team in disarray and expects support ? Lmao

If he cared so much he should have left before the series started. Why even play the first test??

Form sabki jaati hai, biggest of biggest player has lost it n made a return from it.

No other legendary player who made a comeback had as big and a fake ego (combined with insecurities) as Kohli. No other legendary player at the age of 33 said they had achieved everything they wanted in their career.

In this case, Super V will have to face two battles- losing his captaincy plus poor form (and technical flaws). The moment we have a new captain, he will no longer be the biggest superstar of Indian cricket neither the best batsman in the side. The hits he will take on his super inflated ego will be immense. Hard to see him come out of this anytime soon. Will be a just payback for all the bad karma he's collected by derailing so many young careers.

Williamson took a leave for his newborn, Ben Stokes took a leave for mental health and isn't even playing in the wt20.

Why can't he take one lol.

Tumne to kabhi leave li hi nahi hogi life mai.

Why did he have to play the first test? Why not leave altogether? He left because he is a coward.

Williamson dint skip the india tour did he. Williamson dint quit the final of WTC.

Mental health is a different story. This dumbass should never opted to play at all if he was so concerned about his new born.

People have lost their parents and still played for india.

Absolutely. No remorse for this delusional dim witted Muppet.

His time is over. I am still ok with him getting a chance to play as a pure batsman. For some odd reason I think he can still contribute as long as he is comfortable to play under a different captain

Wasn't it decided before the series began that he would leave after the first test, matlab kuch bhi bol do. Baaki log to dekhte hi nahin cricket.

The result of that match had no effect on his departure, he already told the management that he would leave after first test.

So Rohit ,Kl,Sky ,Pant are miles ahead him as a batsman  :phehe: I have following this forum for 5-6 years when he was a beast tab Saale isko gali date the now they are having party ,never seen single appreciate comment about him.this forum filled with regional biased people who hailed 35 test average batsman as a God,decade old failed batsman who starts performing 1-2 years as a ATG and a batsman who yet to tested on international stage as a superstar but can abuse 27 test hundred batsman

He is a trash captain regardless. He is a bitch for running away. People have had it worse and still stayed back to represent india.

Anyway it worked out well as we would have very likely got thrashed in that series had the rat stayed back.
