Bat First

Pakistan

Srilanka

Newzealand

Other qualifying teams

South Africa

Afghanistan

Bat second

WI

England

Australia

Bangladesh

The way to beat some of these teams are batting first. bat them out and watch them implode

The other teams like WI,Eng,Aus and even Bangla which has a solid middle order will be dangerous if you give them a target. Infact should never chase against weaker teams too.

Assuming that we win every toss of course

Should depend on conditions. If pitches are expected to get worse, you would want to bat first. If the chances of dew (esp. early dew) are high, you may want to bat 2nd.

Bat second. Always

No point in overthinking in T20s

not that simple. Most teams have 1-2 strike bowlers who might spoil that formula. 2-3 quick wickets and things can go out of hand.

Especially against good spin sides like Afghan and Srilanka or even good bowling units like Pakistan,SA and Nzl.

Now England and WI or even Bangla to some extent their strength is batting and they are capable of chasing down totals of 200 and upto 180 in Bangla’s case on a decent pitch.

Of course  the caveat being conditions however I would feel more comfortable with India batting first or second against those teams

Who should be your super over choice @maniac  :)

Rohit/ KL

Rohit/Pandya

Virat/Pandya (if Virat is having one of those games he used to where he is middling everything then Virat and Pandya would be the best to complement  him)

Don’t trust Pant/Sky/Jadeja in that situation.

Thakur is a lottery.

Pandya is getting a A grade contract for batting only 4 overs max on a bad day, on that principle alone he should be a guaranteed starter.

Virat in current form would be fail. SKY/Pant/Kishan will do better

UAE pitches this IPL have been unpredictable. You don't know what the par score is exactly. In that case it's better to bat 2nd. That way you know exactly what you have to score and how the pitch is.

There will also be more and more dew as the winter approaches.

Even ill choose virat over pandya in this situation, how come ur thinking of pandya . Opp choose their best bowler and u the best way to counter them is to read them and use range

That’s not Virat or Pandya but the 2 players to play in the super over  so it was Virat and Pandya

My other 2 options were Rohit and Rahul or Rohit and Pandya
