When DHoni was new he hit gigantic sixes. But he made optimal movement to get into good position.  If Pant wants to hone his hitting technique there is no better role model than Sanath Jayasuriya. He was also short. No violent hoicks.

Good comparison, I would say he can also look at how Maxwell manipulates fielders when he is hitting those outrageous shots.

Get rid of so many right handers.  Further Rohit & Kohli have gone old & their killing instinct is at an all time low. 

Rohit probably got his mojo back in Test cricket at the expense of LOIs.  He has always been average T20 batter as his records suggest in WT20s. 

Fresh blood might help.

The problem gets compounded when we play a fake allrounder who hardly bowls at 6 and a Test allrounder at 7. And the lesser said about Bhuvi's batting the better. It tells you how mindless the captain and team management is. Does it really take lot of intelligence to know that you have better chance of scoring at high SR in the lats over if Shami or Bumrah comes ahead of Bhuvi. Not that Shami or Bumrah are great bats but atleast they can throw the bat and a mishit can even go for 6. With Bhuvi, we all know that you can't expect more than 2s.

When was the last time even Bumrah picked early wickets?and hes the best we got. All our bowlers seem too focussed on economy

if your top order collapses then you need good bowling to defend a par or below par total like a spell with 2-3 quick wickets, our bowlers confidence would be way down given they could not pick even one wicket.

If not Kumar then it is either Varun C or Shami or Chahar, out of which 1 will play anyway at no 10.

 

No point wasting time with Pandya, definition of mediocrity, non playing all rounder. 

 

Or extra batsmen in SKY maybe but then you will only have 5 bowlers like last game.
