Kohli should resign from ODI captaincy after this world cup if he has any shame left.

I think this world t20 humiliation should be the last feat for him as an LOI captain, BCCI is to meek to remove him from captaincy after all these failures but I feel that if he does'nt resign from captaincy even after this failure then the guy is as shameless as they come.
In tests I believe he is the GOAT asian captain and should continue as long as he wants but why does he feel the need to prove himself as a great leader in all formats? His form as a batsman is at it's lowest and this is the perfect time for him to not only resign from LOI captaincy but also take a rest from LOI formats for the next three- four months.
(ALL THIS APPLIES ONLY IF WE DON'T GO ON TO QUALIFY AND WIN THE CUP BY SOME MIRACLE)

Kohli needs to remember that the greatest Indian player was probably the worst captain the cricketing world has ever seen, so there's no need to be a great captain (in lois) in order to end up as a cricketing legend.

LOL'd @ GOAT test captain.

But then I recalled this is the same Viratian who is dreaming of India sneaking to semis.

Indian hu, chahoonga to yahi ki qualify ho jaaye kaise bhi. What's your problem in that?

Just ODI captaincy? Should not be allowed to lead even a school team now in any format.

If he isn't willing to accept his sacking as a captain, drop him from the team from all formats for leading us to two of our worst humiliations in the last 12 months alone - 36 all out and a 1st round exit from the 'home' WC. Indian cricket doesn't owe him a thing

Indian Cricket does'nt owe any cricketer anything, the reverse is true.
I won't indulge in the bakwass of dropping him from the team, that's bullshit. I saw all the aukaad of youngsters  in the first match itself.

If BCCI wanted to drop him he could'nt have stopped it, so whether he is willing or not does'nt even come into the question.
He needs to resign

I am worried that dhoni might mentor him enough to not leave captaincy

I am seeing dhoni's mentoring in virat press statements

After loss against pak

"This is just the first game of the tournament not the last"

After loss against NZL

"There is lot of cricket to play in the tournament"

Since I started following Ind cricket, I have not seen any captain except Rahul Dravid who gracefully accepted to move on from captaincy. It took a horrendous 2007 WC for that to happen as well.

So not seeing Kohli leave ODI captaincy. He can surprise us, but not confident.

This could turn out to be a horrendous t20 WC for us

Well that's patently wrong - SRT, Kumble also stepped down graciously.

I missed Kumble, but I was not following cricket when SRT was captain as I was too young.

A minor nitpick. Dravid continued to be ODIcaptain after the 2007 WC. Led us in the BD series and then vs SA in Ireland and later in the Nat West Series in England. Resigned after the series but before the 2007 T20 WC started.

Thanks for pointing that out. The trigger was the WC and then a better captain in Dhoni, but this was only case when gracefully somebody quit the top job.

I think it’s inevitable. He has had a crack for 7 years and we are without ICC trophy. Guy also looks out if his depth. So to give him another WC would be some level of trust.

Question is how do we ease him out. He could go out kicking and screaming. His ego might make it difficult.

BCCI requested him to stay as captain till they find an alternative.

To be fair to him, just 4 years he got as LOI captain. Still long enough to show something.
