Having a strong leader cum captain, in both the white ball teams, is the only way forward

A strong leader means one who has a clear vision ... is a confident decision maker ... and can motivate and lead other people to victory. Someone who has empathy and tries to understand others.

Slow starts are again indicative of lack of proper preparation, and team morale.

 

From the last two series vs England, rift in the team has been quite obvious. It's just that in tests you get time to make comebacks despite mistakes, but not so in LOIs.

 

I'll keep saying change the captaincy and this same set of players will perform lot better. Our current captain has so many priorities that cricket and the team has taken a backseat.

Drop the two Bilateral Bashers from LOI's, appoint a bowler as captain for the short term under Dravid, like how Kumble led the team for a while

Eventually one of the youngsters will stand out with his performances and we back him to the hilt as captain.

The sooner we get out of this era of limited over screw ups the better for our cricket

Having 2 different captains ... 1 for tests and the other for LOIs ... is the key nowadays.

 

Otherwise, that one captain is becoming too powerful for his and the team's good.

And why won't there be !  We have a weak white ball captain who has probably lost the respect of his team by repeated failures in every white ball tournament he has ever captained in. 

 

And the coaches and captain are leaving. This has signalled to the team that it is clearly in transition.

 

To make matters worse, a Mentor has been put on top of the Captain and Coach, further signalling to an already unsure Team that there is no need to follow the directions of the Captain and Coach. I don't understand which brain came up with this idea !

 

The only way forward for this unsure team, is to put in place a strong leader as Captain of both the white ball teams. There will be a new coach too. Please don't bring in any mentors !

 

The team must be unified and given direction by the new captain. 

 

All the other aspects will fall into place. This is not an issue of blaming player X or player Y, and bringing in Player Z won't solve anything.

 

 

 

 

The worst was announcing that i will leave, and this chain of announcement by Ravi, BC, Sreedhar as if they alll are doing ehshan. I mean you simply quit or stay shut till tournament over. Coaches were still fine but this idiot BC why did he announce before if he has to captain in this wc he should have played full tournament and then announce. He thinks it's his jagir which he is relinquishing for betterment of people.

The youngest batsman who is guarantee across formats in KL Rahul who himself is approaching 30.

K L Rahul should never be a captain he make same sad face which Rahul Dravid used to make while he was captain. Atleast under him we started winning while chasing but this rahul guy can loose matches from winning position he is in pressure while captain ipl team forget about captaining indian team.

I think 3 captains for 3 formats would be the best. Fill t20 team with rookies and make one of them captain. We may lose a few matches but would be ok eventually.
