Lol you don't understand player power. They will sack BCCI. When selectors wanted to drop dhoni, selectors were fired. When kohli and kumble tiff happened, kumble was fired.

What will they do?  Protest?  BCCI can stack a entirely different XI in bilaterals.  If SLCB can do it...  BCCI is more than capable.  Only bigger fishes like Rohit Kohli Shami Jadeja will make a big deal about it...  Rest will fall in line

Team is not too bad, they are not playing as a team

How can u have the same core group paying for over 6 months across two formats and not have burnout  ? Why did u have a t20 tournament in Sri Lanka and not make use of it ?

why do u pick most players from a team that did not qualify for playoffs in the ipl?

why did selectors not pick the players based on ipl form ?  Why were they picked on reputation ?

Indian selection policy has always been based on performance of the past not the present ..  and also the brand value ..

let’s not close our eyes and ignore the blatant problems … bcci is a business and keeping eyeballs on tv , running ads are #1 … you can never drop a kohli or rohit .. they are undropabble and these players have played their part , in bringing family ,kids , their personnel life’s in public domain .. which makes them more relatable and into the living rooms of people .. these are the kardarshians of the sporting world ..

Guys, i dont like Kohli at all off the ground but he is by far the best batsman.

Josh Butler is struggling on 24 in 30 balls against minnows. In first 10 overs, Eng are mere 47/3 against SL.

It suggest that the pitch is absolutely unsuitable for T20 or ODI. Calm the 4uck down guys. It is alright. We havent seen losses in a long while so this one is a good loss. But getting personal with cricketers and their families is way OTT reaction. If it matters to you then find another team to support.

India is by far the best team in the world at the moment, and in cricket even best team could have a bad time. so CHILL.

I agree that india as a cricketing nation is the best in the world . But I don’t think we have the best team … we are more focussed on revenue , gettin ppl in stadium.. our administrators are the worst in the best business

just look at the selection committee:

a. Chetan sharma

b. Sunil joshi

c. Harvinder singh

d. Debasis Monhanty

e. One more guy can’t remember

these idiots should be held accountable for not doing their job..

Nobody expected a capitulation like this. Even if we played to our potential, we would have had at least one win.

We didn't even compete, let alone winning.. At no stage in either game were we ahead in the game

Once the bio bubble thing is over, BCCI should cancel the WAGS travel.

No WAGS for ICC tournaments.

For bilateral tours I am not so sure

Each player must pay for WAGS out of his pocket.

Only till the player delivers and performs.

Losing is fine. We lost with absolute no fight. Not even slightest.  We managed to take only two wickets in two matches. We did OK in batting in Pakistan game I feel. Good recovery after disastrous start. But in NZ game we were completely uninterested and timid.

That is because of stupid pressure from the supporters. They were trying way too hard and kept mistiming everything.

So with all the might, best batting lineup, Eng manages 10 more against SL vs we got against the best bowling of Pak?? I doubt it.

I think many people are reading way too much in these results. There is very little cricket to read here.

Seriously @Austin 3:!6 ?? Did you see the last 8 overs, 9 half pitch balls and 17 in slots including full tosses? You need to understand that pitch eases out after 12-13 overs and we have seen that in every single game. That is the point. We got way too much damage in first 12 overs.

Someone educate oneself that this is a minnows team. Pitch eases out after 13-14 overs. Study the pitch mapping of SL bwolers. 9-11 half pitch short balls and 17 in slot or full tosses. Learn cricket and if you do then make educated comment. Dont try and just win the arguments.

Yes, end score of JB is amazing. It looks as if nothing happened. But that pitch if Eng had batted second would have scored 220.

bhai, the difference is Butler has a plan, had the confidence and guts to execute it. He is fresh and in form.

our guys look out of depth, dejected and washed up.

I don’t think it’s about losing. It’s T20, a lottery format but it’s the lack of effort and abject surrender which is the problem.

Butler schooled entire Indian team here and shown them how to pace innings when batting first. A master class knock.

This is the type of knock we expect someone like KL Rahul to play opening the innings.

You will. Our next games are Afghan,Namibia and Scotland :)

Time to unleash the beast and show the minnows who is daddy.

yes ofcourse you are really educated, butler only scored because of pitch, easy balls, the moon and stars aligned

Indian team didn't score because the pitch was hard, all shots went to fielders, IPL fatigue :hysterical:
