Time To Have Rotating Captains And Use Analytics

One captain like Kohli leads to a culture of corruption. Need to have multiple rotating captain and use Analytics for decision making. Screw permanent captains.

I dont agree with the notion about baseball player being a better athlete than a fast bowler. Maybe compared to our padosis and bangla boys etc. But the top sides all have fit and fast proper athletes for test cricket. 

Cricketers have far better stamina and conditioning because the sport is more demanding due to the duration of the game. Tests I.e.

 

But I absolutely agree that we need to utilise analytics and apply them correctly in cricket. Figuring out match ups, working out the peak capacity of players, what tactics to employ, what fields to set for a particular player, where to place the right fielder, what are the batsmans' weak shots and what areas does the bowler target, finding out patterns etc all require analytics.

So I disagree on the fitness but that is another topic.

Team selection, field placement, mismatches,  how many spinners vs pace bowlers for different teams. It is all best left to analytics.

I have seen something like this concept in some lame Arnold Shahnawazuddinklinger movie. Where computers calculate everything and take over the world and Arnold says "I'll be back".

Before analytics for on field game play, we need to use it for selections and matchups while picking a squad.

 

Most selection committees we have includes of ex-cricketers who have had a middling career so they are neither confident nor brave when picking teams. They still use same old methods like accommodating all regions, etc etc.

 

A computer can eliminate human bias. If a squad  has majority representation  from a region so be it. At least it is not due to regional bias or favoritism.
