Selfishly bat out overs by all by themselves in bi laterals giving middle order minimal match practice, pad up their stats real good, and then completely flop in crunch games. Poor middle order gets most of the blame. This is killing Indian t20i cricket right now

It’s important that both hog the opening position. If they allow newcomers like V Iyer to open there’s a possibility that he might go ballistic and spoil the “Sabka Saath” BS of BCCI BYJUS…

This way they control the match…

One of them should bat in middle order and this shouldn't happen in knokout but try this experiment in bilaterals and see if that works or not.

This is the exact philosophy of Indian cricket in T20s. Based on stupidity.

 

The middle order has to perform in crucial finals with no experience.

 

In the final match, Hitman and KL should retire injured before a ball has been bowled. Have SKY and Iyer come in as openers.

 

Indian cricket will never learn.

 

India will gain more by Hitman and KL not batting and losing, then they both bat and India win.

This is the height of stupidity of Indian cricket.

 

What should happen KL should rest, Hitman should bat at 6, lets test our bench strength.

 

SKY and Iyer opening is the same like if India were 2 down in the first over of a final. Its not a big deal to test these two from the opening over.

 

VIyer should also be the 4th bowler and FORCED to bowl 4 overs. Dont keep this guy to be tested only in a final. The time to test him is now.

Then after idiotic tourneys like this, this DB stat peddlers come and say Rohit Sharma averages 50 in T20 - and therefore is an ATG and must play all matches.

 

If this was the case, Kohli and Rohit would never had a long rope as Dhoni gave them tons of chances by dropping Laxman, Sehwag etc when they still had 2-3 years left in their career.

 

We make the same stupid mistakes of destroying careers of real match winners like Ishan Kishan by stat padding Dhawan, Rohit, KL and Kohli for no purpose other than to feed their egos

 

India is the kind of stupid team that would bring in Dhawan for the next bilateral T20 series.
