What pointer he is going to give. Pant has played some breathless knocks in tests. But he also has a lot of room for improvement. Edited December 17, 2021 by vvvslaxman
vvvslaxman Posted December 17, 2021 Author Posted December 17, 2021 By the way the kid is giving pointers to Rahane? Mosher, Vijy, Serpico and 2 others 5
ShoonyaSifar Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Kambli played a few seasons for Boland in SA FC cricket in the early 2000s. Good on Rahane and Pant to take as much help as they get. Praveen Amre also played in SA. Hope he has provided his inputs as well nevada, Vijy and sandeep 3

That is quite unfair rap on Kambli, I still don't think he was kicked out of the team just because of his technical issues. he was far better batsman than either Pujara or Rahane. cricketfan28 Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Hope he fullfils his potential, he is more talented than kambli Sir IMO.
Adamant Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Kambli was a talented batsman and there's nothing wrong in him giving advice to Pant. I think Australia and South Africa are two places where Pant can perform like a superstar. He is very good on pitches with true bounce. New guy 1

Also bad luck and timing of injuries. He was a solid fixture in the ODI starting XI at a time, but he picked up a horrible ankle injury that saw him miss a full year. At the same time, Dravid and Ganguly made their debuts and were obvious talents. By the time Kambli healed, Ganguly had started putting up monster ODI numbers, and Robin Singh was becoming a dependable role player. Kambli went to SA with the 2003 ODI WC in mind, thinking he could make a case for himself. But by that time, the team batting unit also included one Virender Sehwag in it, and had VVS Laxman on the outside looking in. Its a seperate matter that a fringe guy like Dinesh Mongia made the cut.
