Both are great bowlers. Cummins stamina is incredible. Cummins/Bumrah/Shaheen have bowled most number of international balls in the recent years.

shaheen should not be anywhere near booms or cummins. please dont insult the 2 ATGs.

shaheen is more of a johnson level bowler who himself was good but not great.

We cannot compare bowlers in isolation. You also have to look at the sh***y batting line up we have as well. India's score against NZ in the last 6 innings away or neutral. 165, 191, 242, 124, 217, 170. It is not helpful for bowlers.

exactly. what is so *ing hard to *ing understand for our stupid fans. we have **** batsmen for swing conditions. like steaming pile of **** level **** batsmen for swing conditions. we also have mediocre batsmen for bounce tbh. saffer and aussies both have better batting for bouncy wickets. I am talking about the players we will choose. not the actual talented players that deserve to play for us. if we select based on merit then sure we have a good batting for bounce too. We often dont. the one time we did pick on merit by total fluke tbf, we beat aussies in an away series. looking back, gill, vihari, sundar, thakur, siraj were all our top players for bouncy wickets.

Shitty batting lineup or not. They provided two fourth innings totals in SA out of which one of them should have been defended.Common trait Bumrah missing in action from both.Zero wickets in fourth innings of second test and 1 wicket in fourth innings of third test.

So far in his career Bumrah has comeup very short in big moments in all formats for India.

Aus spinners took 1 wicket in this match.

Can we expect our pacers to take 1 wicket in SENA?

Ashwin took 4-55 at Adelaide in 2020 dismissing Aus for 191 and giving India a lead of 53 runs. Ended with match figures of 5-71 and was best Indian bowler in that match.

2018 Birmingham test - 7 wickets for 111 runs and was best bowler in the match.

There have been numerous instances where Indian pacers have struggled or taken longer time than required to pick the 20 wickets. It is not like Ashwin never got a chance to pick fi-fers or if he has played just few games to produce such a performance. He has simply not been able to run through the batting for his team in those conditions with his bowling performance and he has been playing for over a decade now.

The South Africa series, for instance, when he had two golden chances to run through the weak SA batting lineup in final inning of a test with our pacers being ineffective but he himself did zilch with the bowl and in a way costed us the series.

Yes , Ashwin did come up very short in getting his team over the hump in fourth innings. He had quite a few chances  mainly in SA is where he had lot of chances but came up short. If someone holds that against him it is a fair game.

He has also produced breath taking spells out of nowhere like India bowled England out for 120. We can also say the same about Cummins who was walloped by a debutant in crunch situation at the Gabba Test. And also he was unable to remove either Ashwin or injured Vihari to prevent them from saving the Test.   Bumrah has had his bad days just like Cummins has had.

In a series where 105 out of 112 wickets that fell to seamers? lol

Yes, you can say Cummins came short too.No one is denying it. But that does not mean Bumrah did his job.Bumrah's main problem is choking, he has choked in all big spots.Winning a series in SA was too hot to handle for Bumrah.

ICC 2019 semifinals also Bumrah came up short , CT 2017, World T20s everytime he is in spot light he has choked.

kohli

shitwads like purane were the reason we lost in SA

also umesh.

SA bowled to shittier batsmen vs bounce.

pitch got better for batting.

also they had ngidi and jansen as 3rd and 4th bowlers. we missed siraj and praisdh for third test. another major blunder by the mentally stunted kohli. prasidh who has natural bounce and even did well in A tours wasnt picked.

Wr needed the agression of Siraj. He is missing out on important matches.

I don't deny Bumrah went missing in a few matches. So did Cummins. So did many other champion bowlers like Mcgrath at the Eden Gardens.

Why McGrath is a champion bowler is precisely because there are very few instances of them missing over a long range of their play time.

Bumrah should be beating Cummins but for some reason, he doesn't.

He has choked and screwed up way too many times.

CT 2017

WC 2019

WTC 2021

And looks like Cummins might have just delivered the magical spell that won Aus a series in Pak.

Cummins also choked in

champion trophy 2017

wc 2019 sf

gabba test ( almost knockout for aus, like semifinal)

Cummins performance in

champion trophy 2017

3 match, 2 wickets, avg 72

wc 2019

10 match, 14 wickets, avg 30

Wt20 2012

6 match, 6 wickets, avg 32

wt20 2021

7 match, 5 wickets, avg 35

look like biger choker than bumrah if you add Sydney test, gabba test, headingley test & karachi test.
