Boria seems to think that he is the no. 1 authority on every single internal thought, every single closed-door conversation, etc. that has taken place. even if the decision to step down was Kohli's own, I don't think this is all there is to the story

anyone that starts off with 'let me make this clear', or that other favorite 'mark my words' is a certified twat

yeah, even if he's correct, the sanctimoniousness gets me irked.

better sense prevails at last...... now he needs to concentrate fully  on his batting ... such high calibre batsman   to be  an ATG..... 2 to 3 good years left ....don't spoil it by captaincy  overload....

He has saved his batting spot with this decision. Rahane and Pujara are done too.

on the contrary he can get dropped now. 2 bad series and he'll be gone. Was playing as specialist captain so far

they will be "rested" for a test or two, and then they will be brought back into the fold

Would be funny if BCCI made Rahane Captain and Pujara VC.

I need some more laughs.

it is not impossible. they may go by rahane's "exploits" with the bat and his captaincy.

Could be entirely wrong here, but I don think Hitman was injured for the Tests?

I just dont think he ever wanted to play for India with Kohli as captain ever again.

he was "resting", much like how rahane is "rested" and then brought back

The best part is that by resting, he will be captain of India in Tests at home for the first time against a low ranked Test country, so a winning series is a great way to make your debut and stamp yourself as the new captain.
