Some of the players are really overpriced. 14-15 crores for some of these duds are really way too much. Iyer is one of them.. Literally what's so fuss about him? It is not like He is Kohli of 2012 who was tipped to be Captaincy material and destined for greatness. A bang average and ugly looking (batting wise) player.

And Iyer is not even a proven captain.

So who were a proven captains among Indians? He reached 12 cr means several teams wanted him.

Iyer deserved it. A certain selection plus captain who can play both ways. Short ball shouldn't be trouble on Indian pitches.

Kishan should've been retained too. MI very lucky to have him back

He is being picked to be the captain, not just batsman. Many teams had to pick their captains and most wants Indian captain than overseas.

for a dummy captain who was controlled by his coach previously and whose franchise didnt even give him his captaincy back post his return from injury thats too much and yea his batting s/r is 124

Even Manish Pandey has a strike rate of 120-odd having played double the number of matches that Iyer has played :phehe:

He can be a ODI player but not a T20 player

Swapping Tripathi and Kane would be better, although this top 7 is also good.

kane is obv much much better of pace n tripathi has issues against pace specially his matchup against left armers n bowlers who are around 150

tripathi on other hand can bash spin better then most

So this actually is a terrific order

Dhoni, Rayudu are pace hitters

Jordon a death specialist :fear1:

you can nitpick but most teams won't have such depth

Jordan has been called a death specialist for a while now.. They are simply continuing to use the same branding.. Whether he really delivers there or not is still questionable.

Awesome depth in the squad..

Great to see how the team tries to cover all bases this way..

Most teams would simply go and pick a player who has done well or has the reputation, but this is making sure they have players to fit every role.. No wonder CSK does well

Batsmen kahan hain. Dhoni is past. Uthappa you never know. Just Ruturaj and Conway. Moeen too. Only 3 dependable batsmen. Bowling me bhi kuch aisa khas nahi hai.

Simon Katich resigns from SRH following differences in auction strategy...  he resigned from RCB too. I remember he did have an issue with Michael Clarke too during his playing career.

Some people just cannot seem to work within team environment...

Don’t know about Katich but on the SRH table, one could see likes of Moody, Lara, and Murali, but the SRH girl was usually on the phone discussing bids.
