Rohit is a coward and runs away from crucial tournaments all the time only to come back when we have useless bilateral tournaments in batsman friendly conditions. SKY is out of form and Pandya himself put himself out of contention. Kishan can make the case to be there and open and Rahul goes to #5. But that's not the problem. It's the tuk tuk opening pair. We need fast starts. So what do you propose?
mancalledsting Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 He has already demonstrated fundamental flaws in his approach by entrusting KLR with both ODI and Test captaincy despite him not having established track records in either format. raki05 1
SK_IH Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 What has Dravid achieved by giving multiple matches to Dhawan/Kohli/Bhuvi/Ashwin in this series? I hope Rohit comes back soon & has some different ideas/team combos to offer. express bowling 1

Time is ticking and tocking for Dravid to show he has the courage to be a mad lad. never expected to see thomas sankara in this context, but a pretty apt quote. drabid is way too conservative to do big structural changes.
cricketfan28 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 give it some time, expect better output once sarma is in charge.

Dery Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 The Rahul gang will be the beholder of many such infamous records
vivek04 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Some players are born with leadership ability. The both Rahul dont have it. raki05 1
addicted4444 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Take away Rohit Sharma’s runs, and when was the last time Indian batting was even half decent in ODIs? Now factor in a half hearted Kohli, easily our best batsman, and there is no batting in this team.
Nikola Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I think shastri would have looked even better if kohli was test captain & rohit was limited overs captain for india during his tenure. We have to give dravid time to see if he improves and takes bold decisions in upcoming series.
raki05 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) Problem with indian cricket is they support their state players like anything, Eariler kumble when he was coach he brought in ka players, kohli supported Ishant and dhawan endlessly. Dhoni use to support their own boot lickers however some of them were really turn out good players. Now Dravid is doing the same he will give endless rope to Kela, Mayank and Krishna other than mayank other 2 looks meek to the core and Mayank has glaring technical weakness and to avoid any rebel he has to keep useless senior in the team so that everyone will be happy. So nothing going to change the promising youngsters will get only one or 2 matches in a series like sa odi series. We are going to get badly exposed in upcoming icc events. dilliboy Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I am more afraid of our bowling rather than batting under him... Batting he will eventually back the youngsters because he has done that in the past. Not so sure he can look past the trundler culture in bowling
deepdynamo Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I think this tour has shaken him. The fighting and politics between Kohli and BCCI has messed up the team and Dravid is looking lost. anish2tweet 1
