... Our weakness against swing at sharp pace early on in big matches.

That bowling lineup with 3 newbies each of whom can go for plenty.  You cant have Harshal, Avesh and Bishnoi all playing the same game. This is not gonna happen.

Yes, in T20s you need players who are capable of scoring fast from the start. Kohli's scoring rate has declined of late and his consistency is also lower. 

 

I could have KL as an option in middle order, but not at the top. He always chokes when he opens the innings. 

 

By the way, we won our only T20 World Cup with a bunch of newbies who were highly motivated and hungry for success. In our last World T20, we played with all the veterans and tons of experience in the team and you know what the result was. Can't keep making the same mistakes.

the batting and bowling are both sub-par thanks to the conservative choices being made.

I would prefer India to have good batting depth with having bowlers that can bat as well. Jadeja, Pandya, Lord, Chahar should be in the team . Ideally chahar in the place of bhuvi cause he can turn the bowl as well of what I have seen of him. Venky Iyer too slow for aus pitches. He should only be selected if he can swing the ball. Except bumrah and maybe chahal . There shouldn't be any bowler who cannot bat. If chahal can be replaced with Sundar. Considering he won test matches in Aus for India . That would be ideal. 

 

This will force the top order to go for runs as soon as the match starts.

On topic,those four alone take minimum 8-10 deliveries to somehow start their innings which means 32-40 deliveries with meagre runs,add to it,if they stay they score at 110-125 sr,which means we will always post below par targets and falter chasing anything above 165

Being exposed against proper bowling attacks in large grounds of Aus. 

 

In Ipl this team will win 15 out of 15 matches.

India's squad will be determined by injuries more than anything else.  Whoever is the fitness coach has to be given an ultimatum. Lack of flexibility is the reason why they pull something every series.  This is more noticeable in the last 2 or 3 years.

We can't have kohli, hardik, jadeja and kl rahul in the team at all times. KL rahul should be dropped if he can't up his strike rate. Hardik is a waste if he can't bowl and take wickets. Jadeja's so called bowling is a huge liability. Kohli's batting in the top is a huge minus if he doesn't score at 160+ after facing 25 balls.

Disrespectful post. You are the fool here to think that results will be the same if we keep making same mistakes. Gaikwad was highest run scorer in the last IPL scoring at SR 136 and averaging 45.

Kohli opening with Rohit will be a recipe for disaster unless someone is willing to sacrifice his wicket in an effort to go all out in the power play. India has way too many options to play with.  Lot can happen between now and world cup. Iyer may go out of form. Rayudu may find form lol Pandya might strike form. Whatever it is, in T20 depth is very important. 6 or 7 bowlers.8 or 9 batsmen. This way you cover all the bases. You can hope for someone to click in the absence of others.
