Pakistani pitches earlier were great to bat on, skiddy in nature. I doubt this pitch will break up. Very strange. India would have played much faster and declared earlier. But good signs so far Aussies. Khawaja looks good. Carey looking like a decent replacement for Paine. Paine btw averaged 50 in India. Bit underrated as a batsman. He was clutch in the Lone win Aussies achieved vs India in the BG series 2020. Bowling is a bit of a tough one. Cummins is the real threat but in Asia his threat is rather subdued. We shall see though when he bowls. He has lost his pace a bit. Hazlewood is good and a solid support bowler. Can't lead on his own though. Starc is erratic. Can be really good or just wasteful. Lyon and agar would have been better choices than swepson imo. Pakistan should probably win the last one. I feel it will be a turner surely. Ridiculous they are afraid of swepson of all people without ever encountering him lmao. Lyon is good but he can be negated. This test looks a draw unless wicket really crumbles like an apple pie. India Australia next year will be awesome. I think India wins 2-1 or 3-1. It won't be easy at all. Reason being Australia are definitely out for revenge. They will be as prepared as possible for india given their experience in Pakistan in this series. In saying that India could rip them apart too judging by how well India are putting together their team now. India is getting stronger on every front. I am certain prasidh will play in the next bg series. It will be siraj bumrah shami prasidh rotated around. Maybe an outside chance for some other young gun depending on ipl. Spin options will be axar ash jaddu saurabh and possibly kuldeep. Batting is getting better. Purane out. Edited March 13, 2022 by Jay Mesky99 and SrinjayDutta 2
rollingstoned Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Difficult to see how/why Yasir doesn't still walk into this padosi team. Those spin options look pretty grim. express bowling 1

bahadur_billa Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Pitch has started to show some tricks. Will be difficult to bat from tomorrow.

First innings runs are gold in Asia. Touring teams rarely win by innings, so it's better to score maximum runs batting first itself. Once they put 550+, Aussies will come hard at Pakistani batsmen and couple of freak dismissals will put them under lot of pressure. QuarantineTormentino 1
Vijy Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 seems like another dull pitch. Pak have lot of players who feast on these kind of flat roads. It will not be easy for Oz to run through them twice Clarke 1

Their hope is Pakistan surrendering themselves due to scoreboard pressure.
Trichromatic Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Babar Azam probably got a crucial breakthrough. Pakistan can try to restrict Australia below 530 and then fight it out. From Aus pov, Carey's presence would have given them hope of going upto 600 and then go all guns blazing in 2nd and 3rd innings of match, set a target of 350-400 on day 5.
Lord Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 When was the last time poyzz beat Aus in a Test/ series?

Dery Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Pak are missing out on wins vs Aus. On a fair Asian pitch they could have dominated the Aussies
